The battery is non-removable.

This means after a few hundred charges it will lose its capacity, giving you really poor run-time - like all rechargeable batteries.

This also means you need to do surgery on the phone to get to the battery or get Nokia to do it for you for (presumably) lots of money. This also means carrying a spare battery is a long-forgotten pasttime, even if you want to.

Just say no to Apple's way of thinking. I expected more from Nokia.

A very good piece of technology, though not completly satisfied with the specification that this phone has but still good work done by NOKIA,considering the price factor especially.

I am disappointed. I have been a die hard Nokia fan since mobiles were created but this product will ensure I get a Samsung now. Why? the processor is just over 600MHZ. That is the speed of my current and loveable E72. If this were 800MHZ even with Symbian 3, I would have got it. The processor really disappoints me. I dont care about the looks as I am getting the Samsung Beam in October. The Beam is ugly but operates at 800MHZ, has a great battery (like the N8), has a video speed of 30 FPS, and has a modern OS Android. I love the standard Nokia ring and two beep message alert tone so I can easily download them. This phone will be popular as Nokia are big brand so its like Coke, Microsoft, Rolex etc. Big names shake the ground. However Nokia will need to reinvent themselves as Samsung, HTC (although have poor batteries, iphone etc are moving forward. Iphones dont interest me at all. They are just for teenager. HTC are beautiful looking with poor batteries, Motorola are ugly and are only used in USA and Canada, LG not for me, Samsung seem the best. Nokia and I seperate from October.

          Standard battery, Li-Po 1200 mAh

Yeaah, even e52 got bigger battery.
This one is a touch screen navigation, it use more battery.

either this or S8500 Wave !
            Witch one comes first!? ...
Super AMOLED of Wave sounds very tempting but Nokia is Nokia! Puzzled.

Even if now i prefer Samsung phones, N8 seems great. But heavy 135g, and still with crappy S60. But will try it to be sure, before getting Samsung Wave.

hope the n8 is not like n900 (total failure). i was about to buy it when the store incharge advised me not to. guess will have to wait untill someone uses it. before nokia phones was not a problem to use even the new ones but nowadays we have to wait to get the results after using it.......
