its coz nokia's cutting edge technology.
when u install a app on any drive a part of app(its in kb's unlike other os which is in mb's) is stored in private,resource,sys ,data and system folder which is later used as 'ready to trigger' file in the ram.
that is the reason nokia dont need dual or quad processor
and faster procesor means more power(a battery drainer)
and dont fear coz i am havin 226 third party software still am having 87mb of free space.one more thing the c drive(which can b called ram coz it can b read and access) is not the actual ram ,u can use full c drive yet it will not slow down your mobile

no luck, 14 May 2012I just bought this phone . i try to download app from store... morethere is maiinly two reason according to me
FIRST is your gprs is slow
second , if your ovi store asking for the update then try updating it
hope it solves your problem
when it happens with me i simply restart my mobile and get the problm resolved

BABA, 14 May 2012I had a Nokia-8 mobile, but the mobile phone is not worki... morehey friend this happens when something unsupported is installed on your device, or just a software overlap
(1) switch on your device
when it gets stuck , long press the switch off(power button) till it vibrate 3 times now again start the device maybe it recovers
(2) if step 1 doesnt help u then
try the three finger hard reset
press and hold menu key+volume down key+camera key(dont leave the key, keep it pressed till you complete the operation)
now press the power button till the mobile turns on then leave only the power button voila your mobile is hard reseted
nothing will be formated from hard drive and memory card (thats E AND F) , but phone memory will wipe up
and also some preinstalled apps also gets wiped out
and if possible ,after all these use your pc and reinstall belle from ovi nokia updater

been using this phone for 2 years and i can surely say Nokia N8 was Nokia's best and still is the ultimate best Camera phone device on the market. Just sad Gameloft dont support symbian anymore....

have been using n8 with other phones together since december 2010. n8 is great, camera is excellent, belle app is ok, so far so good. have been following new comers. but didn't see any phone which deserves to change n8 for.

Bought this phone back in November 2010. Everything is still working. Minor problems like the battey life has decreased exensively meaning I'mo have to replace it soon soon and there's something wrong with my audio jack. It wont play 3-ringed gold plated pins so only computer speakers and headsets without a mic work on it.
Otherwise, speakers, camera, lock, volume and camera keys sill intact. I'm glad Nokia let the USB slot open. Can't imagine what it's door would've been like if it had one.
If ur low on unds and hinking of buying it second hand, I'mo give it the thumbs up.

I had a Nokia-8 mobile, but the mobile phone is not working smoothly I was asked a mobile repair about this problem he told that this mobile is stopped due to the software problem, so how can repair the mobile, please give some tips about this problem the problem is mobile stopped during on/off time mobile stopped with "shake-hand" position.

i bought d phn b4 2mnths nd nw i m feelng vry gud. Wow..a 12mp camera with the bigest sensor yet. I just luv my phone..nd guyz, samsung says dat the galaxy s2 is the best camera phone in d wrld....i thnk the lumia 710 has beter resolutn thn s2.. M i ri8 guyz?

Don't Go for this phone..I saved 25... moreu missed a trick buddy...u can long press the power switch for 10 seconds it will shutdown.
or u have been cheated. sumbdy must have sold a chinese crap to u.
otherwise who on earth cant defefreniate between s60 and belle
and am pretty sure 5800 doesnt have 6 homescreen

1.Big display (3.5 inches)
2.High screen r... moren8 is half the price of apple,ya its very stylish ...
a 'medium' 'amoled' display 'ok' resolution',all this things helps my battery to stay longer.
has the greatest camera till date (biggest sensor) which collects more light than any other phone sensors available in market
all know android copied symbian, and third party always recommend higher processor and rams to the consumer like samsung so that thier os should not lag.wheereas symbian is the property of nokia and the apps has a very small amount of kb which runs on ram..symbian is the true multitasking os..
i dont have to remove the battery as it last for 2 days.

n8 pros-
(1) gaming(3d graphics accellerater) supports hd games like avatar,asphalt6,dungeon hunter etc ,each game is greater than 130 mb .
(2) 12mp camera (some dumb posted its worst than 8mp ,let him remain dumb).
(3)it has xenon flash for taking pic which is far more brighter than led
(4) hdmi port -connects with any monitor or display which has hdmi input
701 pros-
(1) NFC - it is useful for sharing your phone contents over bluetooth if the other person also have nokia nfc in thier mobile
(2) dual led- which is not brighter than xenon on n8 but its a bit useful while shooting a video
(3) removable battery-maybe n8 didnt have this feature to keep it slim
(4) 1.3ghz cpu - double speed of n8's which can handle belle fp1 and fp2 updates quite effeciently
i personally feel n8 is better than 701 coz of basic difference is nfc which was introduced by nokia after n8
adding more to it if u want a combination of both 701 and n8 then u should buy nokia 808 pureview

I've had this phone since dec 2010 and have been very happy with it. It produces excellent pics, even compared to my DSLR. I wouldn't replace it with nay pther phone currently available, except maybe an Alcatel.

I have this device frm last 8 months n its a grt device.....
Good battery back up as compared to Droid, camera is awsum, audio quality is good , satisfactory app availability etc..
Bt a few days ago I did a soft reset and now my phone is heating whenever I use 3g network....
Is there any one who is suffering frm the same problem.....?
N any one with the solution...?
Btw I have official Belle installed...
