This issue with not being able to download... morehi Ray, i spoke to nokia fellow and told abt quick office and adobe reader and they say it is by default installed in n8 and now they r saying that we need to send ths to h.o for technical checking...
the biggest surprise is that day before yest when they formated i was able to open and even the mail application was new wth all new settings and function but soon after few hrs it automatically got converted to old mail box with same old setting and same error..
now nokia has formatted and nothing is happening..
attachments are not at all opening...it gives the same standard error mesg " unable to perform operation"...
m tired..since last 7 months i m facing this problem and nothing is working out...
the way nokia reacts to customer complaint is pathetic...

N8 still the king in fones...using latest leak belle ver 609..its fast and how awesome OS...official belle cmg feb 2012...happy new years guys..keep N8ing

super cool fone.... but each time i install an app it rsduces the memory on the phone in stead of just the internal memory.. what should i do in this case help please.....

Just binned my "Symbian Anna N8" after losing patience with Nokia Belle update.
I now want to thank Nokia for the delays, as it gave me the enthusiasm for a change and I have just bought an iPhone 4s! What a big difference in quality it is too! No contest whatsoever! FaceTime is awesome as well as the OS itself.....
Nokia are losing customers because of Not focusing on existing owners! I would not have bothered to change had Nokia moved more quickly but wow, am I glad they operate the way they do, otherwise, I would not be the very happy customer of Apple today!!!
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the belle update next year! I'm already delighted with my new user experience and it looks like I will be for many years to come! Happy New Year!

EVEN NON OWNERS SHOULD check the above link as the wallpapers are very good.
About videos, those are licensed videos with no sending allowed. So, just Try the below link I googled:

Hi Ray... this is jc of Phil. thank u so much for your advice. but one thing again, plz help me, why I found some line shadows in my screen when their is a grey background,it is annoying every time I watch movies with some dark grey background, it is like a wire or something under my screen. mine is 2500.7 version.plz im begging you again.

...3G is loosely defined, but generally includes high data speeds, always-on data access, and greater voice capacity.
The term ''greater voice capacity'', what means excactly?

There are a number of reasons that can cause the N8 to fail when sending SMS's. The first thing to try is to delete some messages from your sent items folder and your inbox as well.
Also make sure that the Message centre settings are correct by opening messaging tapping Options > Settings > Text message > Message centres > SIM message centre and check the Message centre number is entered correctly as per your network providers settings. Also note the Message centre name is the same as the one under the Message centre in use field on the main text message settings page.
Also make sure that Preferred connection is set to GSM/3G.
Finally, check that your SIM card isn't faulty by trying it out in another phone and try sending a text from that phone.

This issue with not being able to download or open attachments is usually caused by not having Quick Office and/or Adobe reader installed. The N8 needs these two office applications installed in order to be able to handle email attachments correctly.
If they are installed then you can try re-installing the Firmware using Nokia Suite under the software updater section.

hello guys, i'm using this phone for 10 months now, is a good device, eventhogh is not fast like iphone or androi. hell, i can live with that, phone are to make calls and texting only, other are just optional. the camera is great. sound quality is like xpress music one, try insert using beats audio and see how it perform
