broooooooos......i am frustrated by hearing the news that belle is coming belle is coming where it is where it Is???????????????NOKIA SHOULD GIVE AN OFFICIAL DATE OF LAUNCHING THE SyMBIAN BELLE............or Nokia should announce officially not to follow the belle news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was e... moreLotsa ppl feel the same these days, Nokia has no ecosystem and WP feels like a doomed platform, N9 and MeeGo is officially killed by Mr. Elop, Android is getting more and more buggy and unstable with every new release, 2.3 should not even be in beta yet, and they already pushing out newer versions, none of which work as intended. And RIM and Symbian are not desirable options for the average user.
So iPhone is the one who stands alone as a stable reliable platform where virtually everything always work. But your freedom is the price you really pay for iOS (and same goes for WP, no user control, no freedom, no file transfers, no card slot, everything goes through controlled nazi services)

The FM Transmitter on the N8 is pretty weak. You can hea... moreoh ok thanks man, so N900 is better then. The problem with N900 is that even when using the FM Boost app its so weak that it must be near the antenna or near the radio itself, if for example a backseat passenger will find songs on it there will be bad or no reception. That way the N85 is good.
The N900 i used b4 was stolen, so i need to buy a new second hand unit no matter what, N78 being he cheapest option but the 8GB limit of the micro SD card is an unfortunate limitation. N900 has 27GB free internal and supports 32GB card, it doesnt get much better than that, how i wish it also had decent signal strengt.

The FM Transmitter on the N8 is pretty weak. You can hear an annoying hiss and crackle when playing music through the cars stereo. Don't know of any apps that transmit song details over RDS.

Thanks for the appreciation, it's very we... moreRay, I have lost patience with waiting for Belle . I was equally frustrated waiting for Anna and I bought the N8 last Christmas!!! I Bought myself an IPad 2 yesterday and it is quality.
I will now also buy the IPhone for Christmas!
I have waited for the IPhone to improve over the years and I have never been tempted before until now! Ŷes it's ridiculously expensive but it just works. Apple get their updates out quickly unlike Nokia and the user experience is top notch!
There are no excuses for Belle - it's been available for months.
Anyway , may I take the opportunity to congratulate you on the help that you give to everyone on this site. Regards UJJI

Yeah i liked my 5800 back in the days, but thats ages ago, after i replaced it with an N900 it took 3 minutes before i realized how bad touch experience the 5800 have and i could never use my 5800 again.
N8 is obviously better than 5800 but its already outdated also, dont even think about it, you get so much better phones at that price from other brands. Lumia is even worse, it isnt an option for me since WP is a very restricted OS that will not give you freedom to use your own phone as you desire. Android is a buggy and bad OS but its better than WP ofcors.
Or just get an N9 16GB if you really want to stick to Nokia.

My N85 is getting bad, i use it or MP3 player in my cars, the FM transmitter is what i need here. Anyway the N85 is due for replacement.
Now N900 obviously have the best sound and i love the way it can transfer song title to the car stereo over RDS, but the FM transmiotter of N900 is weaker than N85.
So should i get an N8 instead?
how far away from the car will the N8 transmitter work?
and is there apps or widgets that will allow N8 to send mp3 info/id3 as RDS text?

To answer your question about the Belle release date it's supposed to be released anytime between now and the end of December. That being said, Nokia have a history of missing deadlines so it may not get released until the new year.

You may need to reinstall your QT components. Download them from the following link.

It's important to install them in the correct order and they MUST be installed to your C: drive.
The order of installation is QTSA 4.7, QT Webkit then QT Mobility.
Once that's done reboot your phone with the eight second long power button press until three quick vibrations are felt, leave it off for approximately 10 seconds then turn back on.
Then you can try reinstalling the new Nokia store Rollidice advised you on.

ROLLINDICE....i am verry thankful to u for advise and helpout me....but dear brother i have already done it but still OVI not working...when i touch the OVI store icone then OVI shows loading for long time..its mean OVI not step farward from loading to other thing

i bought my n8 last nov. 22 2011, the phone is already updated with anna,,, the problem is the internet runs very slow even opera mini thats why im using uc browser now and it works very fast also for download,,, those who upgrade to version 25 and so just wait the download it'll take minutes to update the version , better connect with wifi.... SW update too... n8 has a slow battery but when i remove the sim card it last til the 3rd day which is sounds good.... photos and videos are in HD quality,,, amazing!... i really recommend this phone to everybody its very good for photo and videographer,,, everything is really good.. ask me anything about my n8 FB:ferociousoul@y.c
