Can anyone Help solving this problem?
When using GPS Navigation option, there is no ANY VOICE commong out. I can see the route on the map, read the instructions, but do not hear these instructions. I hope someone can help.

Scroll down & read all the comments I wrote today. Comment me back, of them which are possible in N9. I'm not telling you that MeeGo is bad, but it is a dead end. Unfortunately, Symbian is going there too (thanks to Elops).
Well, back to you, tell me, why did you think N8 is 50cc scooter? N9 has upgraded UI & browser, but that's that. Harmattan is a new technology whereas Anna is backdated (comparing to Harmattan). So you'll feel the better experience in N9. But that doesn't make N8 a scooter. Believe me my friend, use N8, use the features & you'll be in doubt which one to keep amont N8 & N9. Both are very good phones, no doubt. But the price of N9 is over-hyped & is not comforting me with the package it is coming to me (HDMI, USBOTG, Superb camera, xVid & DivX support out of the box, supplied HDMI & USBOTG cable are to name a few). I forot to mention the radio, N9 has the HW, but don't have the SW. So I'm hoping that N9 will have that too in a giffy. But what about FM Transmitter? N9 doesn't have the HW either. So, it will NEVER have the transmitting ability N8 has. If N8 was a scooter, then it wouldn't be so popular. Anyway, I can't change your mind unless you see both the phones side by side. So, please do that.

Software installation: All
Online certificate check: Off
Default web address: none
Now, exit the settings & try to install the SW you wanted to install. But i should warn you, it opens your phone to ANY virus (if attached to the SW you install) & just install the SW only if you're sure that it is not harmful. Else, the result may be devastating, hang your phone, restart it, even fry it.

And in my opinion, Nokia shouldn't have left Symbian (also MeeGo) right when they were ready to fight Android, iOS & BBOS. Right now, except for the eye-candy, I can guarranty that my Anna updated N8 with a Mega power can do everything that an Android can do with a Giga power and more. By the way, the problem that caused my N8 to lag was in my laptop, which, by the way, was attacked by virus & was attacking my N8 everytime I would connect it. Now when my N8 is back from the care, and my laptop is free again, it is running smoothly again. I'm the same happy with my N8 like before.

Have you used those phones (Galaxy Ace & HTC Wildfire)? I used them & G Ace is very much laggy & Wildfire doesn't have half the SW a normal (1GHz plus) Android have. So, get one of those, try to install the following SW from the market: Google sky map, Ashphalt6 HD & lemme know if they run as smooth as you claim. Me, on the other hand, from a hand on review, can tell (read assure) you that you won't be loving those Android anymore (as they will lag almost on anything, if you run them on background). And please, I have posted a few posts here, asking you to clarify me. I request you to read and comment on them. I really need you to prove that I'm wrong.

N8 will NEVER run in Mango (Windows Mango) unless you install it by twitching the phone. N8's updates are: Symbian^3 (PR 1.1 & PR 1.2), Anna (PR 2.0) & upcoming Belle (PR 3.0). So don't lie. And one other thing, N8 doesn't have the H/W capabilities to run Mango OS.

If it can be removed, then you're using a chinese copy. If not, check whether your N8 has two SIM-card slots inside or just one. If it got two, then you're using a chinese copy. If not, switch on the phone & when it is in the stand-by mode, go to ovi store. If your phone is a chinese copy, it will NOT have an ovi store (there might be an icon look like it, but don't get fooled by it). Click on it, let it connect to the internet & it'll take you to ovi store, asking for your account id & password.
I hope it'll help you solve your question in mind.

Seriously,dude, what's wrong with people? Do they go along with the craze & call something smartphone? I don't think they claim without even knowing what it is!
You're lost? Lemme clear it out for you. In every Eid festival, I send sms to a lot of my friends & family. I type an sms, select multiple (around 200) numbers & hit the send button. Then I let the phone send it one by one while I leave it in my room. I even did it with the S40 phones (all 200 plus contacts together). But this year was different. I typed an sms, thought I'd send it to my friends & relatives, wishing them, but when I reached 11th contact in my SGS2, it DIDN'T LET ME do that. It didn't let me select anymore than 10 contacts at a time. HOW FUNNY!!! So, if I choose to send an sms to 200 people, it will let me do it in 20 times (WOW! What a waste of time). And they say that SGS2 is fastest responsive than any phones in the world at present & will not waste your time on response. Tell me, how much time will it waste on sending just 200 sms? I know for sure, if I'd let my N8 do the same, it would just take my time of selecting the contacts, then it'd do the rest for me.
One other thing, suppose, you're asked by me to go & grab a box from my car. I gave you the car keys to fetch it as the car is locked. Would you again ask me for my permission to unlock my car? Would you, after grabbing the box, leave the car unlocked for me to lock it again later? How dumb is that? Lost again? Let me clarify.
I was sending a file through BT from my SGS2 to my E72. I chose "send via BT" & even after that it asked me whether it'll switch it on or not!!! Then, after sending the file, it left the BT on for me to manually switch it off. I did the same with N8, it just switched on the BT by itself (as I chose "send via BT"), sent the file, then after finishing, switched off the BT itself. Now, I call THAT a smartphone. What kinda DUMBPHONE is SGS2? Come'n, I wasted my money on a dumb phone. Just I like it's computer speed.
Talking about the computer, last night, I connected my N8 with my 44" LED monitor throught HDMI, while my BT mouse was connected to it in BT & my USB keyboard was connected to my N8 through USBOTG. That, my friends, turned it into a PC (only missed the super fast speed of SGS2). Can ANY OF THE PHONES available in the market do that? Can any of the phones connect HDMI, USB & BT at the same time to turn your phone into a PC? I know some can, but they need the "DOCKING" to do that.
Pleasssssssssse, call N8 slow, but NEVER EVER call N8 dumb, ugly, waste of money. I used the "greatest android" (SGS2) & found it dumber than my N8. So leave your b*llsh*t with you & STFU!!!

hi, i have updated my N8 to Anna but the software version was 024.001 with date of 29-07-2011
And when i goes to SW update, it tells me that there are no updates and i have the latest one however there is a version 025.007i have seen it at NOKIA official site.
i am from EGYPT, Is the country should be taken in consideration of my updates limits ??

Hey dears,
I'm very much satisfied with my n8. Because, I just baught this after knowing everything about ths smartphone.especially, the camera feutures as an ameture film maker.
Though I don't compare mine with any other devices, I used to browse hem up in order keep me updated.
Now, I want to know if there's any possibility to change my hardware into 1GB RAM. Could anyone answer this?
