I finally upgraded my N8 to Symbian Belle and I must say that it's much better than Anna..except the notification bar, I didn't find any other similarities between Belle and Android (I don't know about Gingerbread and others,I used android 1.6 only ). Flashing wasn't so difficult, had to download a few softwares and then I just followed the instructions.
Belle is awesome, but N8 should've had it long ago.

I have tried deleting all the memory and restore the phone but it hasn't helped. I guess that I will have to live without GPS until Nokia decides to put out another update to correct this problem. I am so disappointed in Nokia right now. My N8 was working until this 'so-called update.'

Do you have problem with Nokia maps update, because after update when I try to start maps there is some compatibility error and it crash.Problem is, it is official nokia update from nokia suite. I have Sym. Anna.

Next Symbian os name is starting with "C"?,
which will be coming with new N8 updated version,& may be support 480*800, screen resolution.

You can store your songs to the inbuilt 16 GB memory but the phone will slow down if you fill it up too much. The same is true for an external SD card, so it's best to leave a few Gigabytes free.
You will only be able to update your phone once the update has been released for the USA because the updates are tied to the phones product code which are country specific.
I'm not sure how long you have had your phone but if you buy an N8 from one country to be used in another you actually lose your warranty. If you need to have the phone repaired under warranty you will have to take it back to the USA.

Hi friends..
I've got few doubts...
1. Can we store the songs and videos in the 16 gb internal memory or is it better to have it stored in external memory card ?? storing large amount of data in the internal memory, will it affect the speed of the mobile??
2. My mobile was purchased in USA.. i am in India.. can i update it to anna or any future updates that is available here in India ?? are the updates country specific?? updating a mobile in India which was purchased in USA, will it bring any problem??

Hi everyone...I just get information from someone tell me that will come out new second device is N8-01 with 14mp qHD N8-01,bigger camera sensor (not sure about resolution),optical zoom,3.5” WVGA Clear Black display with Gorilla Glass,1GHz CPU, 512MB Symbian in year 2012 ...it that true ..please anyone tell me ..thank you & god bless

Open the maps application and tap the spanner icon. Then tap Navigation > Drive guidance and select the language you want from the list. You may be prompted to download the drive guidance file if it isn't already installed on your phone.

Nobody knows when Belle will be officially released for the N8. The time frame given by Nokia is sometime in Q4 which translates as anytime from now until 31st December 2011. That being said, it's not unusual for Nokia to miss their own deadlines so don't be too surprised if it doesn't appear until 2012.

i agree with you those android phones lags even on angry birds(wildfire, g ace etc) android running on low spec cpu is like a hell of lags.. While n8 can give you better performance in the same hardware specs.
