samsung fans dont understand that samsung is purely a hardware manufacturer.cant even come up with their original design..;p so all they can do is keep packing their phones with more and more ghz processors. How else would they differentiate with htc and moto and huawei and zte and micromax and god knows who else.there is no end to this 1.2, 1.4 ghz madness. i agree that for watching a video sgs2 is miles ahead of anything out there. But what a consumer needs to look at is what are his particular needs and are they satisfied by the overall package at a reasonable price or by paying for specs like dual core which are just that- specs!! Plz tell me anythin that a 30000 Rs galaxy s 2 can do that my one year old n8 (Rs.21000) cant do. Plz dont tell me shoot and play 1080p vid bcoz frankly speaking i cant see the difference between 1080p and 720p vids. Also video recording at 720p in n8 is in my opinion no way less than vids shot on gs2. Plus i have bought so many premium games on n8 like asphalt 6 and hawx and what not and still the cost is much below the "greatest smartphone ever". And dont even get me started on the camera on my n8 because there is not a samsung digicam that comes close let alone cameraphone. So the whole point is dont run behind the hardware but look at the functionality and value for money. And the point about dead os. Remember symbian is getting support till 2016. Yeah tht is still 5 years down the line.now i dont know about others who think their phone is future proof but i cant see myself using one phone for 6 years.longeg i have used one is 2 and a half years and then sell it. And remember in resale value no one beats nokia. S ican safely buy two more symbian phones use them and sell them before the support stops.and i dont know what kind of support is really needed by symbian now. It can already do everything that i need from phone os. Yeah maybe it cant be used to heat up my palms on a chilly day like the galaxy s2 but really samsung deserves some credit afterall!!

Your advices were shallow, lacking true experience, sometimes misleading and often not truly useful at all. I suppose you just needed something to feed your ego (why would you otherwise end each post with posting your name, when your name was already written in the title of the post?). So now that you have converted yourself into Nokia hater, I don't really see no reason for you to cry here over your misery, whatewer it could be. In the meantime I will gladly continue to use my N8, knowing there is no other phone that could fulfill my needs in such a delicate way.

The Anna update is OK, but I have found it a little buggy when I scroll on certain websites - which did not happen before this update! Also, I am disappointed that the Belle update is not happening ASAP but then that is what you can expect with Nokia!
I have never been tempted by Iphone to date, but I have to admit that I am considering taking the plunge with the new version expected in October. Nokia have been way too slow in getting out the updates and even with the expected Belle update are still behind some way. However, on a positive note, the N8 camera is currently unbeatable and that is reason I bought one. My daughter owns an old Iphone 3g which I have to say (software wise) is a pleasure to use, both on the internet and general use etc.

The Battery of the Nokia N8 does not last more than 6 hours on almost Zero usage and less if I use it, Can anyone tell me why this happens or what reason, or the Battery is just takes too much power , for using AWD FREQUENCIES ?

I flashed my N8 with Belle .phone is very lagy and battery is drained with in two hours.
scrolling also not smooth as symbian 3

i do not know who you are but hear me out bruv...do not get intimidated by some silly comment from an ignorant person. Keep posting to help who even might need your advice and help from your experience with the device.
I have been reading through your solutions and tips to the entire N8 forum and i must say a big thanks on behalf of those who would accept and acknowledge your effort.
I am a software engineer dealing with cell phones and its buid-up technical know-hows....and agree to most of your criticisms and they are relevant to the N8 community, i believe.

it's ok if nokia symbian belle copied some android features coz android already did that to apple ios. competition is just a matter of originality and copying.

I am soon heading for the mighty Nokia N8. Guys are bragging about android, so whats 'very' special about it any way? Thousands of Apps? how many hundreds will you install on your phone? 5, maybe 10.... Symbian was around even when guys did not know what it meant to have an operating system on a phone. Symbian is the bomb and is here to stay. the others will just come and pass...

phones are very dangerous so handle with care, whether nokia or any other, question is nokia care and support , but i think it is laking to the customer demands and un qualified youngesters sitting on counters for nothing , for my n82 , repairing at private center in cheap and satisfactory in hundred insted of thousands, ok it is alright ,i am N8, N82 USER. Fantastic , packed with latest features and needs, plz give warm well come to customers with grievences instead of new purchase new one which is offered by great honour.
