Nokia is falling and n8 is old is that a reason for which i should not buy this and how are the games and apps can it be compared to android

According to NaviFirm Symbian Anna has appeared on the list of available firmwares for the N8. However, it isn't available for any product code yet which means Nokia have released Anna to the networks etc for approval.
In the space of a week or two we should start to see Anna being made available for download on unbranded handsets first along with certain country variants, then the rest should follow.
I reckon most, if not all N8's will have Anna in four to six weeks.

You can safely remove that folder from the phone. It was put there instead of including a CD in the box. It's just the install file for Ovi suite, so it wont affect anything else on the phone.

Gaming, browsing definitely Sony Xperia Arc wins.. But everything else, Nokia N8 is the way to go...
Build Quality: N8 wins by miles ahead... You can drop your N8 without worrying whether it works afterwards... But drop Arc once.. I don't know what will happen... (It's just plastic...)
Camera: Arc camera can't come even close to Nokia N8's extraordinary camera..
Features: N8 has USB On the Go, Xenon Flash, 16 GB inbuilt memory etc.. Arc has powerful processor, More RAM, Bigger display (But bigger is not better always...) and sexy design & look...
Brand Name: Sony is a great brand name overall products.. (televisions, audio devices etc...) no doubt about it... but when it comes to mobile phones.. Noone can beat Nokia...! It's rock solid and had been there for so many years...!
If I were you, I will go for N8... Specially because I need camera sooooo much... Without N8 camera, I don't know how to go anywhere...
But if the camera and the rigidness, durability of the phone do not matter you that much, then you better go for Arc because it's good in other areas like browsing and gaming...

do not use unofficial firmware..who not guarantte your device...be patiently...symbian anna will coming nearly...
if u use symbian belle os unoriginal...i think u disappointed..n your n8 is never got updates again like my old 5800 use n8 cfw...looks great..but the updates n support apps is hard to install...

hey Guys,
In the Mass Memory (13GB), I can find a folder Nokia_Ovi_Suite_install_files can I delete the complete folder itself, because inside I find some setup config files & some folders, will it effect any application.

i've taken nokia n8 and there have been only a few days!!!i am experiencing a problem!!!!it turns off on its own and then back on all the time until i shut it and open it!!!i searched and i read the official site of nokia that there is some n8 with that problem and that nokia is sorry about it!!but the guarantee should do the job!!does anyone else have that problem???

One more thing is how long you intend to keep it? if its for 2 years on contract then Nokia has promised more 1GHz smartfone goodness and W7 is on the way..
I dont reckon a smartfone will come along with N8 quality camera and video recording with good audio quality capture SOON.The samsung sgs2 sgs1 and wave all cannot handle loud bass when video recording but N8 can.Also in its favour is always on clock which should be put in all mobile phones,,i just glance over to bedside table to see time thruoughout nite with only 2% drain on battery max.

SRV, 16 Aug 2011yesterday i bounght a new nokia n8.... i saw a problem is d... moreHai SRV it is not a problem. its the settings.In nokia n8 u have a brightest flash light, which is xenon flash, which can be seen in only professional cameras. xenon flash is a high sensitivity flash which can only work for fraction of seconds. In video mode when it is kept ON, the flashlight will get over heated and can get burst. Xenon flash will not work in video mode..In profession cameras also xenon flash will not work in video mode. You are having the worlds best camera phone, which is equal and same as dedicated professional cameras. There is no fault in ur n8...:-)Other phones has only lowest led flash light...Enjoy with ur phone...:-)
