Ray, when I apply a new theme on my N8 it doesn't always change all the icons.. For example, it changes all the icons except "Dialed Numbers" or sometimes "Store" icon. And I've N8 does that with some other icons too. My friend installed a same theme and in his phone "Music Player" didn't change. i have "Anna Origins" which is very identical to real Anna theme.

I've just bought Asphalt 6 from the Ovi store. All I can say is it plays perfectly on the N8 thanks to the dedicated GPU, proving the N8 doesn't need a 1 GHz CPU.

Nokia N8 is the best phone i have ever had....it's touch response is as good as i-phone, no other camera phone can match it's camera quality..xenon flash helps to give sharp picture even in low light condition...video recording is HD with dolby digital sound...i love it's HDMI, FM transmitter, USB on the go support(u can directly use ur pen drive into it)& obvious gps. If u seriously wanna be satisfied with what u buy, then just go with NOKIA N8...i m sure u will be loving it..any query mail me..at manilovesonunigam@gmail.com

bad bad bad only 256 mb ram ... more It's true the N8 only has 256 MB RAM and a 680 MHz CPU but that doesn't necessarily make it a bad phone. Symbian ^3 doesn't need a CPU to be any faster so it runs just fine on that hardware configuration. It also allows the battery to last quite a long time, two to three days easy.

TOM, 20 Jul 2011Almost a year since realesed and still NO Skype video calli... morenokia has nothing to do with skype. Skype is an application. Simply skype do not want us to use video calling hence we cant use it. Let s hope skype will release update with video calling.

Unless you have made a back up of your messages via Ovi suite then I'm afraid they are gone for ever.
I know it's a bit late now, but if you intend on keeping messages you should back them up at regular intervals using Ovi suite.

Almost a year since realesed and still NO Skype video calling, no general firmware etc.Such a shame NOKIA how slow and lazy you are and how you ignore customers! Definitely my last NOKIA phone !

You should be able to update the phone over the air (OTA) by dialing *#0000# then tap options and select Check for Updates. However, it is preferable to update via the PC using Ovi suite or Nokia software updater. If you don't have access to a PC you can still perform a backup to a external SD card. Goto applications > Office > File manager > Backup.
