Gio, 10 Jul 2011If you have purple tint issue, I strongly recommend to watc... morei can't find it in the ovi store, do you mind giving me a copy of brightness control? much of the things i want to download in ovi says its no longer available or not available to my country. the tint annoys me, and i got my n8 for like 3 weeks now.

Two features that impressed that impressed me are the camera (12mp HD recording) & the new usb-on-the-go that Nokia embeds on most of their new models. N8 - go for it!

Took my N8 out of the silicone skin and realized the plastic bottom end was loose. Turns out one of the screw connections was broken, maybe when I dropped it a time or two. Solid construction overall but it's not indestructible. It has an Achilles heel. Be careful with your N8s people

symbian anna is not officially released. what someone referring here is the cooked firmware of some great people. so its up to you if you like anna now then flash it at your own risk or wait until august end

Guys cheers, this leaked version of Symbian Anna has completely removed the purple tint issue from my Nokia n8. I have not found any bugs till now. Will keep posted if any bug found

Symbian Anna update is not yet availabl... morehello my friend, i can give you the link for symbian anna update if you wish (a chinese and english working version) just releaced today...but you need to flash ur n8 with phoenix while doing so....its all up to u if u want ANNA now...or you want it when it is officially releaced

But the tint is making movies look... morei did read about the purple screen....well its both a hardware and software issue....nokia manufacturers are using the same AMOLED screen that they use on other nokia which they offer Clear Black display...there is just a problem of colour calibration, but till now...nokia is not able to fix it through an update or software changes...they thus recommend to change the AMOLED screen (the hardware). well you spent a lot of money on it...but beware...you can get it to nokia and either return u as it is, or change the screen (and u may get a worse screen) or they mey tell you that they are not aware about this issue...or they can fix it (but it gona take some time)....its all up to u San
