AnonD-9996, 06 Jul 2011what do you think that they aree doing with anna and belle?... more Whether or not Nokia release Belle doesn't matter anymore as the Symbian foundation have been given the death sentence by Nokia.
So, software developers will begin to stop development of new apps for Symbian powered phones.
Symbian Anna is a much needed update to correct the many issues currently affecting the N8 but it still won't entice developers into producing new software for the platform, and by the time Belle is released ( if it gets released at all ) interest in Nokia will be at an all time low, with many people going over to Android or iOS powered phones.
I'd prefer not to be the one to post such negative comments because I'd like Nokia and Symbian to survive, but sadly the cold facts can't be ignored.

Hey guys.Im about to buy a n8 but i was wondering,should i be patient and wait a little while for other phone to launch? I heard HTC will be releasing a 16 megapixel phone http://pocketnow.com/windows-phone/htc-pre...s-phone-7-video what do you guys think? should i buy n8 now or wait for a better camera phone?

Did anyone here buy N8 recently in this month of July, if so please confirm if it is preinstalled with Symbian Anna. I am waiting for the new July lot to arrive, as per the Official Nokia announcement all new shipments from July of N8 will have Anna pre installed.

Most probably a hardware issue. Best bet is to take it to a Nokia Care Point and get it repaired under warranty.

nokia n8 is just a great phone. It has a very good hardware and with anna and belle on their way, I think the software experience will become great. ios and andriod are just inefficient.

I agree with what Anonymous has just written.Guys,if the smart phones of today's world don't heat up then there is something wrong with them!!..They are mini computers in your pocket and would generate heat when used.If your set goes into over heating, then it could be a problem but don't make a fuss about non existent issues please.Yes, my N8 worked fine for 7 months before it went into loads of troubles like restarting,overheating and eventually went completely dead.I went to Nokia Care and then have replaced my N8 with a brand new set.Which company does that and that too in 10 days flat?...In India atleast i don't expect Nokia to be slow in responding as they have to cater to a fast growing cellular market and they can ill afford to generate bad press or publicity for their premium product like the N8...
