ive been using my n8 for 6 months now but suddenly it went off. i cant turn it on. i bought it in the philippines but now im here in saudi. can i return the phone at the nokia center here in saudi? i need your help guys, if u have experienced any. thanks

Dear SUN,
I remember you friend... Actually that was Nokia 5530 page..
Actually unlike before, hacking a Nokia Symbian phone has been pretty easier now... So nobody has to face 'certificate errors no more...' You can install any software you want without any hesitation... No problem with warranty either... Because it's just a software installation... Nothing else... Once you hard reset everything will be back to the original settings...

As far as I know, using mods you can do followings in your N8,
1) Enable Edit equalizer settings
2) Enable MP3 meta data
3) Change Menu Grid to any type of Grid as you wish
4) Disable Camera shutter sound
5) Enable uncompressed photos (Large file size, quality high)
6) HD videos at 30 FPS
7) Disable Menu button back light, charge LED etc
8) Disable beep while recording phone calls (Patch/hack)
9) Faster typing (Patch/hack)
10) Any software installation ability (Patch/hack)
11) Open for all system files (Patch/hack)
12) Elarm MOD
And more... But above are only what I've tried... If you want more Mods/details please visit below link...

For me its price is just right, you don't need an extra music player, digital camera etc. it's all in here so the price is just right.. :) plus the aluminum body and the free Maps! ^_^

Nokia N8 mst reduce its amnt coz this device cannot b used roughly as comparing to 5800 it can b use better.

AnonD-2665, 27 Jun 2011i am using 3g connection and my internet is always active,b... moreI always have 3G dataconnection on too and it easily lasts all day for me, without much use it's still 100% battery when I go to sleep (I recharge every night). I also always leave the browser open with like 3 tabs on, but as long as the sites dont refresh themselves on their own, they wont eat any extra battery really.
Something you wanna check is that you dont have your email syncing too often. I had somewhat similar results when I made the sync interval very short. Currently I have it set to sync every 30 minutes and that seems to be a pretty sweet spot for it.
Same goes for some widgets that have internet connection, if you let them refresh themselves using the internet it easily eats it dry pretty fast. At least the WebTV widgets that are (IIRC) on the third homepage by default are known to eat battery easily, I would simply remove those widgets.

i am using 3g connection and my internet is always active,battery last only 3 hours after full charging ( brightness is lowest ) the problem is i cant use 3g in power saving mode ! Is there any chance to save battery during 3g mode ? I am going to submit my n8 to n.care due to purple tint ! I ll try to get BLUE n8 if they ll b sending new n8 ( currently using orange )

Hi to all of the current N8 users, did you ever had disturbance during call (volume 8 mark to max), like a loud spark or TIK sound on GSM 1800 mhz, or any similar issue during call like noise, anytime. Your feedback is appreciated.
