It's hard to say like this. Maybe it needs a mechanical repair, maybe a new battery, maybe re-installing firmware would fix it, it could be anything...

i have now nokia N8, i love it, but suddenly stopped work, it just close himself and open again or not, and a few other problems.........i think i hav eto change the pone.....is nokia lumia 520 compatible with nokia N8???

AnonD-20890, 25 Mar 2014Did you change the battery in the 4 years?. If yes, when?. ... moreIt is no diffcult to change but you need an special screewdriver (fix type, or star) . Look in youtube yoy will fiand instructions to change the battery. Battery is easy to buy on line. God luck

Did the battery swell / got bulged (like normal batteries)?. How to find it?. Shall I take the battery out once in 6 months and check for swelling / bulging?. I bought my N8 as a new piece with warranty on September 2012 last week.

This phone is a mini jukebox. The earphone (WH-701) that came with this handset (N8) rocks in producing bass effects in the earphones (when tested in a silent place) if the song has the same.
I use samsung N7100. Its audio quality and the battery backup time sucks. This made me to use my cutie N8 as my primary phone.
Nokia, common. Please launch Symbian phones again. Give life to the Symbian. Please.

Aadrian, 23 Mar 2014Got my N8 almost one year, still loving it. Camera is so go... moreNokia should not forget this awesome smartphone. It is my only cameraphone. .its size is not too big and not too small. Its sound's quality is also good. Its pictures's quality is very good in comparison with Galaxy S4 or iphone 5, but iphone 5 / 5s picture quality is awesome too (just the price is high).
I still use N8 as my primary phone and Galaxy Note 10.1" is my secondary device. :)

go my n8 for almost 4years, love it to bits. recently bought another phone... after few hours,new phone ended up in box again. what would be nice is if one could get the androids apps thats available for the N8.
regarding durability... it can receive a good punch, well it ended up under cars boot lid,only a scratch. my N8 is my little baby.

Got my N8 almost one year, still loving it. Camera is so good. I bet this phone's camera still beats modern 13MP shooters in other phones from other brands.

Anonymous, 21 Mar 2014some people managed to put google play support for nokia xIt's an Android so it's easy to do. But those people just ruined a perfectly nice phone. :-)
