Since Will Announced N8 April 2010 up to final released of Nokia N8 last october 2010 Gitty,Wheeze,Amanita is here and most trusted people,
Man Your wrong, For those New Comer In this forum Gitty, Amanita, Wheeze is the most trusted in this forum, So pleases stop thinking bad sense for gitty , All mentioned is true,
1.) Power Failure,overheating is true For the First Batch N8 and it fixed done,
2.) Hanging Is True For old sofware 011.011 but will fixed it done New Sofware 011.012, And other Buggs will fixed PR 1.1 014.002
3.) Reddish Purle Tint Is True For the Second Batch, It Sad up to now there's no solusyon in this problem, Even Nokia Engineer They Know what the major cause, Even it replace it how many times Amoled screen but it the same result,
Some Speculation According To Muzart Reason 2nd batch of N8 has Reddish purple tint is,
-> Because Amoled Screen, Nokia Changed it own driver capable than original manufacturer, So Now From the second batch of N8, Nokia buy Amoled Screen Only Not Included the driver chip of original manufacture,
This is only the mistake of Nokia, The Solusyon in this problem is need a driver chip came from original manufacturer of amoled,
-> So Nokia Driver Chip and Amoled Not Compatible, It one of speculation why 2nd batch of N8 has reddish purple tint, The only solusyon on this problem is nokia need spend more money to buy samsung driver chips that compatible in Amoled Screen, But i doub it Nokia Spend money for this issued, Because Nokia Will Save Money For Windows 7 phone,
Purple Tint Not Cause any risk performane of Nokia N8, No Doubt For this, Just Wait For symbian Anna see what happened i hope will fixed it,
Anyway Im happy and Proud To Be owner Nokia N8, its great brilliant Camera,great gpu, Usb otg, free lifetime gps, great music sound, Waiting Symbian Ana update 3x faster internet browser....

Also, there are no N8-01 or dual-core nokias coming.

this mobile is really good...it has many intresting applications,games etc., its a user friendly..and i recommend this mobile for all users...

This phone seems to be more than adequate for a user (me) who has been using Nokia 5320 xpress music since August 2008. Hope N8 serves the purpose of a high resolution digital camera too, it has the display of 3.5"(same as iphone4) that is impressive. EDGE class is 33 which sounds good (although i donno how good it would be and how fast it could be). Bangladesh is a poor country so i need to be very careful while spending money (37,500 BDT) for this device and it goes without saying 37,500 is a lot of money to me. Guyz like u also helped me before purchasing 5320. Now u guyz gotta give me some answers honestly. i am an elec. engr. so i know very well what the specs means.
1. Processing speed is 680MHz which is slower while comparing with equivalent SE of Galaxy-s and many of u know N8-01 is coming with a dual core 1GHz processor. Can this set play things pretty faster ??
2. What about the purple screen issue ?
3. The battery life of 5320 is pathetic so i never wanna buy any handset which provides such poor battery life. I know it does depend on what a user do in his/her handset, well i usually do what most other 27yr guys do.
Any user review will be highly appreciated, i know there are thousand of those posted before me but it is disgusting to sort things out like that and i believe there are hundreds of buyers of this set who love to share there experience with me.

just bought nokia n8 1 day ago.actually im totally disapointed.never thought got the defective unit.my screen show reddish..it's not actually black.i will go to ncc later.hope they replace with the free defect...anyone have this issue know how to fix it?

This phone is simply fabulous. Quick to use and after all it's Nokia, excellent build quality. I have a question. I can't seem to play videos on my PC although on the phone it is fine. Is there any setting or something of that sort? It's been 3 days since I have been using this phone. I can't wait for the major update that's yet to come (Symbian Anna). If anyone has faced the issue please revert to this post. Tx a million.

It's very easy to see the purple scre... moreHe has not got it then the bad screen.I have emailed him the links you put and his is fine.I dont think he is bothered about it either way hes too busy with all the email/twitter/texting/photo /video record and what he says is the most detailed mp3 playback hes had.Anyhow i will have my own in 2 days but in the shop i am going to trst it before buying ,i have printed off the link you gave me for testing.

[deleted post]i have replaced my phn 3 times
1st silver white-restarting problem,2nd s.w-power failure/dead ,3rd s.w-loudspeaker stopped working ! I got orange n8 on 8 january itz good but it has purplish red screen problem which is clearly noticeable ! My friend has n8 grey which doesnt have any prob. ! When i compared both phn in videos n some pic,i found that therez a purple.red screen colour in my phn while his n8 doesnt have it ! I contacted n.care but they said itz a design not a fault ! After that i read on the net many ppl have the same problem and nokia has admitted the defect but they were replacing it with another defective n8 ! I am just wishing to have a defect free n8 at least b4 my warranty period (28 october) ! I am student and itz really disturbing me to visit n.care again n again and i am also tired of replacing ! Each time they take phone and return it atleast after 20 days which is really annoying !

I bought this...Its a very nice phone...Still now I didn't get any problems with it...Battery also good....

AnonD-1082, 25 Apr 2011Your friend is wrong. It's very easy to see the purple scre... moreMy brother has a C7. He checked it with that test image and there is just a very very slight purple tint, which is hardly noticeable, and on analog clock screen, it's not noticeable at all.
To put it simply, when I look at the screen, I see black as black, not purple.
I told you before, I'll tell you again, there are tint-free devices out there and there are people who sent their defective ones for repair, and they fixed it.
This issue is real, yes. Some people sent it in for repairs and they didn't fix it, yes; but you're really pushing it when you say that non of the nokia care centers in the world are able to fix this problem. That is not true at all.
Gitty is really unlucky to have to send his/her phone for repairs 3 times, and still get it back just as defective as before; or just maybe he/she's lying.
A word of advice, if the same care center isn't able to fix it, then send it to another one.
If a care center fails to do its job, then contact nokia directly through their website's support, and if that does not help then sue the care center, if you have to.

[deleted post]and wake up man,nokia themselve admitted the defect,oh may be u dnt knw abt that bcoz u r blind ! Anyway i love this phn thatz y i still ve it even I ve already replaced it 3 times ! Now again I ll submit it to nokia care but only if they ll ve defect free screens !
