but vivaz has 8mp camera with video light,Led flash,continous autofocus,touch focus,face and smile detection
just check that n8 doesn't got smile detection,video light,continous autofocus,touch focus......besides the gsmarena review itself says camera interface is outdated.
pixel wise and optical focus n8 got the lead,but i think vivaz's camera got more features.....
by the way i haven't bought both i'm still deciding.what i'm looking for is a nice camera phone at the possible lowest rate.

its a good phone.i read some reviews about purple screen before i bought mine and found out theyr were all true.... if it freezes up on u just do a factory reset and u wont have that problem anymore...at least i dont.

No trouble at all. I've just checked the release schedule for you and your update is " in creation ", which means Nokia have released it but they are waiting for approval from either the network operator or the Nokia testing team for Switzerland, in case it's a SIM free or unlocked handset you have.
Are you referring to PR 2.0 as the next update? If so, we still have a couple of months to wait, as Nokia has decided to re-name it as Symbian Anna ( no more PR numbers from now on ), and they have added a new icon set and theme to the GUI plus a few other enhancements. This new naming system for the update also hints strongly that we will be getting what was called PR 3.0, but will probably be called Bertie or some other male name beginning a B ( as in the naming system of Hurricanes ).
Sadly though, there is no mention of Flash 10 support in Anna, so I don't know if the N8 will ever get full Flash at all.

I just bought my 2nd N8 last week with Rm1500. My 1st set was bought last year Oct. This is amazing phone especially it's camera. I snapped photos whenever I wanted to. Because I know that have a right gear at any time. Now my wife and I holding this phone in our daily usage not only for shooting photos. We have less issues with this phone. Everyone who (especially 3 other brands user) see me using it sure they will amaze with its photography capability, not only that; others function too.
For me it's about our perspective as end user to judge & value what is suit to our needs. Not just blindly follow trends.

The N8 is an awsome phone. The latest firmware update fixed many problems that the phone had. It is smoother and very user friendly. A great gps, camera and a sexy look. Overall I'd give this phone a 9 out of 10

i am planning to buy nokia n8..but i am planning to buy it from us and get it in india..will it work in india with indian sim perfectly? dats the ques in my mind....

I haven't been able to update to 1.2 yet, and although I don't worry so much about this update, the following one is something I'm really waiting for, and I find it strange that pr 1.2 is not out yet for my phone!

What issues are you having with the integrated mail app?
I may be able to help.
Many people using the email client on the N8 say that it is next to useless, and I used to agree. That is, until I discovered that the email client wasn't the problem but Nokia's servers that were slowing down synchronisation of emails.
The solution is very simple.
What you need to do is bypass Nokia's servers when synchronising mail. To do this, you must DELETE ALL of your email accounts from your phone. Then set them back up again but when you are asked to accept or decline the Terms of Service, during the set-up procedure, press DECLINE. Do this for each mailbox you want to set up.
Now you will have direct access to your email providers servers for faster synchronising. Also, you will have more options available in the Settings menu of the mail app.

What a gormless comparison.
The OS's are nowhere near the same. Vivaz has S60 5th edition.
N8 has Symbian^3. Different in so many ways.
My N8 doesn't suffer from a purple screen, but some people have reported that their N8's have this problem. This problem is caused by wrongly coded drivers in the AMOLED screen. So of course the Vivaz will never experience the same problem as it has an old fashioned, dull TFT resistive ( also old fashioned ) touch screen.
The N8 has HDMI output, so videos recorded on the N8 in 720p quality can actually be shown in full quality on a HDTV, directly from the phone. The Vivaz cannot do this, as it's output is VGA quality only through a 3.5mm TV-out cable.
Just have a look at the comparison table then say which phone is better.
