Here's what a defective N8 screen looks like.
The silver N8 on the left shows reddish tone on the analog clock while the black N8 is fine. The silver N8 on my link below is defective.

People People People. The redish screen DOES NOT MEAN that the screen is defected, if you have the clock in DIGITAL you will see black as black. The new firmware 1.1 fixes all the lagging issues. The Camera is superb, the music is clear and load, the screen is bright and nice, the build is super strong, the features are very useful, i've been using my N8 for 3 months and I have not had a problem with it.

I want to buy a phone for listening a music, watching videos & movies. Is this phone a good choice or i should go for little bigger screen phones? Can we watch online movies on n8?

Just insist on getting the screen checked and look at the analog clock. If you see anything reddish or purple then get another unit. Anything reddish or purple on the analog clock means it's defective.
Do not listen to the sales guy if he/she says that it's normal. It is not. A perfect AMOLED screen will show black as black and not reddish or purple. Nokia Care is replacing defective units with defective units. They are currently in short supply of the perfect screen to replace the defective ones.
Check out my link below so you will have an idea on how a defective N8 screen looks like. Once again, insist on a perfect screen.

[deleted post]It seems your april comes pretty early ;) . However the N8 sensor itself is capable of 1080p recording but the camera buffer isn't large enough.

Hello,i must salute to nokia n8,..its realy experience of lifetime achivement,n8 is master of all mobile world
i am using n8 nonstope since intruduce .. no probleme in any sort of application.. realy love this nokia master one ..

N8 is a great phone, BUT! after few months of usage, it starts to lag and everything, gaming is also amazing but the OVI Store suckssss because most free games require internet access to be played, and usually bad games..only if i could jailbreak
