hi gitty may i know hows your n8 now is fixed reddish purple replacement new amoled screen already or not? because nokia care phillippines 6x amoled screen replacement it same result reddish purple not fix even how many times changed the Amoled screen and touchpanel, Now Out of stock Amoled screen at nokia care, I think this is not screen problem, maybe nokia used three screen first batch got perfect screen, 2nd batch got two types of screen reddish purple and the other one is brownies purple screen, or maybe its a hardware problem, i hope will fixed this via firmware upadte PR 2.0....

is there is a Call Recorder avalible for nokia n8 in ovi store with beep suspension(without beep when record calls) ?

AnonD-2869, 27 Mar 2011I love sony LCD TV,Laptops,especially cameras, but in phone... moreI don't have a choice where the phones are concerned, this is my second blue N8 and it still has the tint issue but to a lesser extent, if this persists I will stick to Sony phones since I hate my samsung pixon 12 and this stupid iPhone 4 that I'm getting rid of.

please use light controll application, it is redusing the purple issue, tested on my n8.

heey gr8 newss guyzz...iv successfully modded android 2.3 for N8..it is way better than symb. iv hackd mobile and installed it. it works like charm. nw it records 1080p videos @25 fps.

I have been trying N8 from couple of days, what I am to writing in is not to go against Nokia N8 or Symbian^3 but just an opinion What might be dragging Nokia down. It is not the color of icons, it is not the hardware, it is not the old look, it is not the font and it is not the speed or browser. But one thing that I felt since I start using this beautiful device, the FLOW of information that user have to deal with. It is simple yet somehow it is not that simple.
I haven't use Andriod yet so I cannot compare it to Symbian^3, and I know Symbian has a lot of features to offer and such many things are not easy task to contain but still if Nokia put some of their good resource to simplify them more, just the flow of everything than I am sure they will claim the crown very easily with this OS.

I own this phone for several months. The firmware always up to date. I have no complaints, best phone I've gor so far.

For all nokia N8 Hated (Apple people) you have just Knonk Out By NOKIA N8 Better from anything you ever imagine Cool Phone simply 10/10 !!! Even with 680 MHZ Still REALLY MULIT-TASKING not snape shot (iphone fail) hahahhah!!!

the web "browser" which comes along pr2.0 is comparitively faster than the previous one, but not upto the mark!! None of those tegra 2, dual-core cpus can handle a 10mp optical sensor whereas N8 handles a 12mp sensor flawlessly, handling such a high resolution sensor dose need some serious processing power under the hood, which N8{evry S^3phone} does've!! The pr2.0 makes this phone perfect 4 majority of the users, bt the browser's not on par, and it could be if it could use the power underneath it upto its fullest

Nokia N8 has an extremely amazing camera especially the additional feature of cal zesis. The hd definition display on this handset can do videos playback which are even better than other handsets like galaxy S and HTC desire. However the downside of this mobile is that it is symbian OS and the fact that it has a well slow CPU for a mobile over £400. The best handset in the UK market that has the best all round function would be HTC Incredible S and is exclusively to carphone warehouse.
