And by the way for many days i have remained silent n reading comments on the reddish purple issue... hey guys i myself have the problem... those who r saying videos photos games all get purplish r talking all nonsense... there is no other prob except the analog clock going purple halfway... even if u have issues check avatar game on ur screen with a screen that has got no issues... u shud get perfect blue in both... n for that matter just open up ur menu the black remains black n not reddish...its not a hardware issue its just the driver coding error... so stop speaking nonsense those who are spreading here... check the avatar game for ur assurance i myself have done it n posting relevant facts for u guys to try out... the issue doesnt hamper photos videos or games like others are saying i'm repeating again... dont know y people are just waiting for an issue about n8 n start bashing it

Hi everyone
I just want to say that to me one of the main reasons i bought the N8 was for its camera. I had read countless reviews on it and all seemeed really good.previous to yhis phone i had a sony ericsson Satio and although that had its own problems
i believe after comparing the 2 camera wise i think Satio had a better camera, i have taken the same shots with both phones and have loaded them on my computer and Satio shots seem to be clearer time after
time, i wonder if all the hype about 12 megapixel was all jusgood marketing because to date i believe this phone camera wise is not as good as what they have made it out to be. i wonder if others feel the same way ?

guys, has the purple screen problem with this phone been resolved? I want to buy C7 but because of that problem which is common to N8 and C7, it makes me think otherwise.
Ah! By the way, for those not aware of the problem, try searching for it in the net. Its been a topic of several forums.. :-)

I think it should be pointed out about the sealed in battery! Very disappointing when you need to re-boot the N8! No can do!!

AnonD-4045, 16 Mar 2011I dont understand why there are so many people complaining.... moreThe complaints are mostly about the defective screens, overheating motherboards, restarting, and some proximity sensor problems. We know that the N8 is a great phone but the defect/problems spoils the whole experience. User experience is the most important thing on a phone and to a lot of people, it means more than a laundry list of features.

I dont understand why there are so many people complaining. The best thing about this phone is its RELIABLE.
Im writing this to say in this is my first most pleasing phone in a good ten years! ( and trust me ive had many) Ive brought mine here on holiday here in Mauritius from the UK and this has to be the best gadget ive had in years- better even than my Samsung I8910 (been loyal to this for years) or apple iphone 4 ( rubbish hardware and camera, the best apps on a phone by miles) !
This is why :
- 12mpixel Carl Zeius camera - excellent faultless pictures even in low light conditions like at night. See my videos of firework filming on youtube!
- Expandable memory - explains itself.
-hdmi output - im playing divx's and recordings on my cousins plasma at really high quality - no burning dvds, or bull**it copy protection software/conversion drag and drop!
- fast interface - visually it runs faster and smoother than my iphone.
- you can play flvs,mp4s effortlessly, ideal for converted you tube vids ;)
-mp3 player- easy to navigate and happy that even my old nokia n95 remote handsfree happily works on it meaning I can choose the headphones I use.
- its reliable - no crashes, no slowdown, no b*llocks involving dropped calls or mic issues like with the iphone 4. ( The only reason i dont get rid of my iphone4 is because the apps are flawless else id have chucked it out of the window long ago)
Thanks to all this I can happily enjoy my holiday without needing to carry multiple gadgets, its my camera, my camcorder, my video recorder, video player, my skype phone, my mobile, and even my storage card. Nokia thank you for producing such a brilliant device, my loyalty to you clearly has paid off.
Ive previously enjoyed my Samsung i8910hd for years but finally its time to let it go :)
If anyone would be interested in sample pics/vids please feel free to look at my fb profile. Many thanks.
