N8 gorilla glass screen is a joke. Mine already has tiny hairline scratches and I'm very careful with it. This phone annoys me more everyday.

i just purchased nokia 5250, i am enjoying using it,the only problem i feel is that whenever i received an sms, 5250 dont give light alert, i mean screen just remain blank and by message tune, i came to know that i received an sms, could any one please help me to get rid of this problem? many thanks!

gbengoyor, 13 Mar 2011can someone pls tell me how to detect nokia n8 at the point... moreHow to detect the defect at point of sale? Just take a look at the analog clock and if you see anything purple then it's defective.

Hi Guys,
I have the first version of Nokia N8 and since I got it had nothing but trouble. Just last week I took it to Nokia Care and they updated the software and told me all 1st version N8's had battery issue's, screen going blank and switching off and on by itself (preety much what was happening to mine).
After they updated my phones software, it has fixed all those issues and battery perfomance is much better. All I wish now is they fix the internet browser..

hi.i bought an n8 2 monthes ago from z agent wz guarantee.unfortunately it was dropped in water for 3 minutes....i dry it and it didnt turn on.ill send him to z company...pls it works again?

it is confirmed that the purple screen defect is from the faulty screen..and most are from december batch..the only solution is to replace set or screen... So check it while buying only.. I got this information from some trusted site.. Be careful while checking the screen because it may not show any signs in bright color and in full brightness.. So always check gray and black color pictures or the analog clock screen saver..

This is my second N8, my 1... morethats cos u got taken for a ride my friend. they did not change the motyerboard. they changed your phone wth a defective one. probably one of their friends had a defective unit and they swoppedcit for your good one telling u they replaced the motherboard to exppain the new imei number

[deleted post]i feel the same as this person i am from south africa and i have the same problem as him and nokia know of this problem and thats why the ceo jumped ship perhaps he knew whats comming thats why we dont hear of nokia.
