AnonD-367, 01 Mar 2011yes bro ab u r 100% right that nokia n8 has great battery b... morehey any time bro...

see ronald its all about what u need in ur cellphone...

m an art director i travel alot and at times such places where i dont even get charging point !!! so it was very imp for me that my device could get through atlist two days until i can reach my hotel room or a place where i can find my charging point !!!

and hence m an artist i love clicking !!! so obviously cam was imp for me more than anything else !!!and i bet no current cam phone can even come closer to N8 !!!netsurfing was secondry thing for me(but importnt one for sure)i have accepted my N8 with all the flaws of browser hence its a symbian device i have replaced my native browser with third party browser and my problem was solved !!!

      now,
if u work in the office and u are always reachable to ur pc or charging points then i guess android can be the better option for sure...so its ur take mate,defin8ly go for android if u can manage its battery hunger...

and about the more good points...i've already mentioned...u name it and u'll get it in N8...good games, good music, apps and most importnt gr8 battery life to support all !!! :-)

and i'll keep reapeting the main deciding factor of battery life...coz like i've said b4,

"if u cant enjoy ur device every now and then without battery break...then whts the point having tons of apps and games" for....just to look at it and keeping it for charging !!!! :-D

m defin8ly not android hater but i have never seen a smart phone surviving 3days like my N8 !!!

decide regarding ur reqirments mate...cheers :-)

In our country if you want to buy a game or application, you don't have to give the credit card details, lets say the application/game cost BD0.350 all you have to do is to keep BD.500 credit/load in your sim card or more (if your sim card is prepaid but if postpaid it will automatically included in your monthly bills)and once you press the "buy" button (to download the desired game/application) in Ovi it will automatically deduct from the load/credit in your sim card.
I don't think its safe to give credit card number in the internet. I also want to buy games/applications but if it asking for atm card details I refuse to buy it.
Or else if you can organize a system where purchasers have to buy a card with protected code (with different prices like BD0.500, BD1, BD2, BD5 etc.) in the cellphone stores fit only for downloading applications/games. But still deducting directly through the credit or load in your sim card is the fastest, & easiest way, because you dont have to go in the cellphone store/shop to enjoy downloading games/applications. Just keep on asking the final confirmation first before issuing the desired application. Like for example...... "Are you sure you want to buy the Angry Birds mobile game?" (Options: Yes or No) Hope you understand my point.

I am now using ZXReader 2.0.3 and I can say that it works beautifully. It is my fav ebook reader for the N8.
Also I went cycling today so I downloaded Sports Tracker from the Ovi Store and tried it. It was even better than I had hoped. Totally recommend this app.

I Must Run now available on Ovistore..if you like any games or apps please buy it and stop download any illegal apps to support developers so they could continue makin apps/games for our lovely N8. One of reason why many developer doesn't make any games for symbian it because many symbian users are using illegal apps instead of buying..they won't wasting their money and time for nothing.

I've been using my orange N8 since December 2010 and I never had issues with it. I am not a phone expert but definitely having fun with my phone. The video and picture quality is awesome. They didn't really brag much about the music quality but it's definitely good as well. I've always been a Sony Ericsson user and now, I can say I found my perfect phone!

Hi all, I have been using Nokia since 2006. Now I am using Nokia N79, in which I am very satisfied with. Because of it's perfection from every point of view. My first look will be on heavy features loaded in a phone but whether it's designed according to it's features or not. In this N79 is perfectly designed according to it's features. In nokia N8, if you are supposed to give a 12 megapixel camera then first thing will come to mind that is there any protector of it as a Lens cover? In daily life one person cant be so cautious to protect it's lens from scratches like if you put the phone on table likewise. As like N79, the usb port should have covered along with memory card slot. Then I could consider about this phone.

                        Thanks.

I'd say N8 is a great phone though it is my first phone of Nokia. Waiting to see Nokia N950.

AnonD-367, 01 Mar 2011FRIENDS HELP ! I cant decide is i go to nokia n8 or wait f... moreronald my friend,

if u are looking for best available all rounder device theres no competition for N8.games,music,apps,CAMERA...u name it and u'll find it everything in N8.

i'll tell u the most "effective factor" which u'll not find in any android available as well as the upcomings ones !!!

                                  "THE BATTERY LIFE" !!!

trust me no android can stand this symbis new born "N8" when it comes to the battery backup.
and m not saying this coz i love my N8 neither m nokia fanboy infact i have been using androids since moto milestone, dell streak,se X10 to my previously owned the android king "SAMSUNG GALAXY-S" !!!

but these all android monsters have dispointed me regarding there battery life as most of the androids are...the android itself as an os as well as these high processors are the main colpr8 behind their fast battery drainage.

but...when i started to use N8...i was blown away by symbians battery back up...trust me !!! my N8 can give me almost about 2.5 to 3 days of battery backup with pretty normal use !!!

i bet no android stand a chance infront of N8 regarding battery backup...

no matter how may people creep about how old and usless symbian and nokia is...which is not true at all...(infact i guess all the complainers and bashers are one of those leauge followers who says one thing is bad just bcoz the other three are saying so,without even judging it on their own !!!)

N8 is my first symbi device and m quite happy about its allrounder capabilities.

                                  my point is,
if u cant even use ur device freely, without keeping an eye on ur battery monitor...then whts the point of having an eyecandy UI and tons of apps just like any android i've used so far !!!

i would rather like to use my device freely without any concernd about battery life just like i do on my N8...and if u want that eyecandy look of android u can always rely on available apps such as SPB shell and many themes.trust me it changes the whole UI look completly !!!

finally if u can keep up with the battery hunger of ur android device and u dont mind charging it for atleast every day as well as in between every heavy use then i would defin8ly say go with ur desired android.

or else our lovely N8 will always be there at ur service :-)do let us know finally which device u have settled on !!! and no hard feelings for "f"android visitors i was one of u.iam just sharing my experince about symbian...cheers,tc...god bless u'll :-)
