AnonD-1319, 13 Feb 2011it's not rumor it's official Symbian developers will be fir... moreSo what do you suggest Phone arena, to the people who are currently using Nokia and a symbian deice, to throw away their device or sell them at half price..... It doesn't make sense you are talking about 1 year ahead do you know whats going to really happen after 1 month, no one knows. So please stop provoking people unnecessarily and discouraging them. We are already using these device and we have spent quit lot of our hard earned money to buy it. Lets see what happens in future, we all hope for the best.

AnonD-1097, 13 Feb 2011GUys lets just wait and watch instead of making our own ass... moreCan not agree more with you , Nokia is not going to kill Symbian ( at least in the near future ) , while MeeGo becomes a on going project .... It's the hardware/build quality that Nokia excels , so it's good for the consumers ( with more options ) at the end .

I really love my Nokia N8 , well built , solid and nicely designed . Regardless all the bugs and painful experience with software in the past 3/4 months , it's getting better and better , the Ovi Map is great to use , also lot's of useful and interesting app. From Ovi Store . I hope the new partnership with Microsoft will only excel ( Symbian is getting old ) , let's hope !

if nokia scrapped their promised updates to recently announced symbian^3 devices and really plans to get rid of symbian (yeah, ive seen the slides), im shaking hands with the green robot and happily give that OEM and google my hard earned cash! adios nokia... done with you, i guess it's time to move on. (on d back of my head, i STILL hope that this NokiaSoft strategy is just nokia's way to get a strong hold in NAM, "buying time" and perhaps added "source of income" to somehow(?) sustain/maintain/improve symbian OS and develop meeGo further! is that the REAL conspiracy mr. elop and the majority of nokia's board of directors have?!?! oh wow, if i may, in my native language, this partnership could simply mean but dirty just:
"gamitan"
using nokia phones since my first mobile phone - 3510. nevertheless, i still hope nokia the best. i will miss the power of SYMBIAN - less show off, but gets the job done

AnonD-1097, 13 Feb 2011GUys lets just wait and watch instead of making our own ass... moreI agree, if we see Samsung they have various models running their own BADA o.s, WP7 and also Android. So does it mean that they will dump BADA, in the future since they have Android and WP7, NO. Nokia is still the world leader in GSM Phones by far distance than their competitors, I am not a Nokia hard core fan, but I like this brand. Think with a open mind, they adopted the OS WP7 to give people more choices, and to get ahead in competition with other O.S in the market. Yes, its all about adoption new and less about dumping the present O.S, So my request to all is please do do not spread rumors, think yourself. In no circumstances Nokia can abandon the present customers, and stop supporting them, because if people stop buying it will be dead.

n8 rockss and guyzz we should now stop thinking about wp7 next year we should enjoy n8 and we should believe that nokia will do something good if they r adopting wp7 then it does'nt mean that nokia has taken wrong decision nokia will make phone according to people choices and demand though till now wp7 is very typical and not very friendly but if nokia is adopting it then nokia will make it friendly and some features r also not supported then don't worry nokia will make wp7 like this that it supports all which supports in symbian..so guyzzz ..

I must say that I find the reactions pretty interesting. One day the majority seems to hate symbian and wish for a replacement. But since the announcement most still seem dissatisfied. Is it the choice of w7? Or is it that loyal symbian lovers feel abandoned? This is a major step for Nokia but is it the right one?
