it dies when i dod software uodate on my phone, and refused to power on wighin 20 mins
is it because i idid a harset reset on my phone before using *#7370#

I have to say I am a little unhappy with a second n8 purchased. It died a sudden death after registering email details on home screen app. After it went to ovi it shut down and refused to start for 20 mins. Even when it did come back to life it shut down again. Did factory reset and you lose your maps on the internal drive! Not sure what batch this was from but a major UK retailer. Has anyone else experienced such, I returned mine to get money back, shame as love this phones design. Nokia do need to fully make sure that any phone you cannot do a hard reset is 100% stable. Is their a consumer accessable reset for this phone cannot see one but thought I would enquire.

Hey, can someone plz tell me how to see if u received any missed calls or msgs, without actually touching the fone, like my old e71, just by looking at it, i would know that i had recieved a msg or call, without touching the fone. Also, i have turned on the screensaver for big clock, but i cannot switch off the light that comes on- how do i turn it off but still have the screensaver on?? If you don't understand my questions, please ask to clarify. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

any one can tell me in N8 body there has written made by nokia but when i see the N8 pictures in nokia.com or gsmarena there has written made in finland.there has any matter of original or duplicate..?
how is the sound quality of N8 ?

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2011I like N8 so much! But how to rename the songs & albums... moreClick options> song details. . I recommend you use your pc to edit track info though as the phone won't edit the info on the mp3 but only the reference file. I.e, when you edit a track and send it to someone else, it shows up as unknown again. To edit info permanently, google free mp3 tag editor.

rdca, 08 Feb 2011try this on your device its look worse it because the gradi... moreMostly I'd say people from philippine didn't do it properly,may be carrier of the Nokia, Philippine problem,cos mine is from 1st batch no problem at all. My girl-friend is from second batch blue N8 no problem at all. and this is from Singapore.
