I like N8 so much! But how to rename the songs & albums? Some songs are named Track 1, 2,3, etc. or some albums are named as unknown albums. Could somebody please help me.

screen is affected with reddish or purple i think so this is due cheap lcd amoled screen used by nokia.nokia n8 is full of issues....like this it can't be a good handset daily new issue are with this set

rdca, 08 Feb 2011try this on your device its look worse it because the gradi... moredude calm down...its one of those things which u dont notice on ur own but once u have been told abt it..u jus cant stop noticing it...
u are a great fan of the phone...i hav read ur posts many times...u never noticed it earlier ...did u??..its no big deal...
enjoy ur phone n dont let people mess with ur head...

cire g, 08 Feb 2011i noticed the purplish red only when the analogue clock is ... moretry this on your device its look worse it because the gradient problem and amoled problem..
Reddish purple
Note: Not Only the analogue clock its affected
1) Qtorch apps,
2.) True spider Themes,Midnight silver themes
3.) See widgets it has linen reddish
4.) Avatar games when loading the blue color its affected reddish purple
5.) When playing movie darkgray its look reddish purple
Note: Try it the Amoled Tester and Judge your self if reddish purple is normal, For Me this is not normal im not blind to see if my screen is defective or Not... Its 100% totally defective..
Tell Me it is Normal? Why 1st batch no issue of this? mostly 2nd batch... It means Nokia from the second batch use fake amoled or not really amoled than 1st batch? Pleased Expalin me... ;-(

i noticed the purplish red only when the analogue clock is on and nothing on other apps and standby.can't this only be a bug since if this is a borken lcd as what others believed it must appear in other apps and even on standby. will you please take not of this nokia. just upgraded to pr 1.1 and cant wait for pr 2.0 50+.thanks nokia.

Hi everyone..since i update to PR1.1 animation is missing from screensaver selection and when choose music player as screensaver the display look weird..i mean the clock and wavy line goes blank... anyone face same issue with me? Please i need answer..

if you're so annoyed with the discoloration issue on your phone, choose a darker theme. you will no longer see it.

The best way to spot a broken screen, broken screen is how you call an AMOLED screen that shows dark grey gradients as purpleish/reddish, is to install an app called QTorch. Open the app and notice the background around QTorch logo. In a broken screen, it will show a purpleish/reddish color instead of dark grey which is its actual color. Another way is to open your Music player in landscape mode. Notice the coverflow. In a broken screen, the reflection under the coverflow shows a purple tint instead of dark grey. Midnight themes, instead of dark grey softkeys it shows a purple tint. You should also set your brightness to the default mid brightness level.

Vicehybrid, 08 Feb 2011got my N8 on Saturday then 2 days after boooom PR1.1 waitin... moreI hope pr 1.2 reddish purple will solve, I luv my n8 since date I purchase it, but im worried my n8 color dsplay its lokk worst I mean instead of dark gray or black the color will look reddish purple. I will go nokia care this week I hope will fix this. :-(
