guys big problem!!!
i installed many games and some of them plays only on the 1 quarter of the screen!!! only the first quarter of the screen is occupied by the game and the remaining 3 quarters are white in color!!1 help me

The 3rd party applications are shocking!better than java,yes but on the whole they look and operate like they have been constructed in 30 minutes!!!!

DavidC, i had the same problem y cant stablished a connection, if you get it right please tell me.
other thing i cant use the UPnP with my laptop either.

I just had the N80ie for the past couple of days, sending text msg. was fast, battery seems good, wi-fi loads up quickly, resolution is very nice & one of the best, the slider is ok, and it comes w/a 256mb card from nokiausa, d best phone!

I purchased the N80 based on the facts that it supports many third party softwares that are easy to install and remove. Thanks to symbian OS.
Although other models have slight better camera and sound quality, but the N80 has wifi which is to me the most important function for smartphones.

Problem syncing to MS Outlook on Asus notebook.
I have followed the instructions to either sync via USB cable or Bluetooth and cannot get a connection with either. I have previously successfully synced with another PC using the same instal software. I tried again after downloading the latest version of Nokia PClink from the Nokia website, but no luck

Had the N80 silver last summer.It was a bit loose in terms of construction,so I made a mistake and sold it.Later I confirmed how durable it is,when a friend dropped his N80 several times.I have changed many phones since then.Today, I bought it again...In black!Now I am going to marry it and never let it go again.

I recently purchased Nokia N80 i think its a real good phone considering its features, style, etc.

Go to Nokia.com and choose your country, then once your there, just click on "Support" along the blue navigation, then click "Software" and then go to "Phone Software Update (firmware)", select your phone model, then select which way you want to update your phone, over the air or by PC. Then just follow the flash wizard. If you choose update via PC you will have to download a 20MB file which you will have to install and then use to update your phone firmware. Hope it helps.

hi,
i have had the n80 for a while and i love it...but recently i have had trouble with messages taking a long time to send and my screen freezes for a short time after the message has sent. i know that i need to upgrade my software...but where do i do that and what exactly do i download??
please help me...

Hmmm well i dunno why everyone is having so much problems with the phone...maybe its a certain batch of them or something...Ive had one for a few days now...seems pretty good to me. I played with the camera and all the features when i first got it and it lasted about a day and a half for me which doesnt seem that bad to me. Only thing is that it takes long to start up, i never timed it but im guessing like 15secs maybe or somewhere around there...and camera takes like 5secs to start up, switching to video mode took abit longer, apart from that i havent had any other issues with the phone. Sending a SMS/TXT was pretty fast for me, about 1-2 secs and it was sent.
But then again there is no such thing as a perfect phone otherwise the phone companys wouldnt make much money if they made one phone with perfect specs which would probably rival their other models so the dont sell as much...I bet the N95 will have issues as well...and with battery life i guess thats Nokia's gimmick to make us buy extra batteries so they can get more cash out of us, because they do have the technology to do it but then they wouldnt make as much money im guessing...
Overall i give the phone 7 out of 10, i agree that a longer battery life would be nicer and maybe add more RAM or CPU power to speed up opening apps and stuff so there isnt any lagg.

Does anyone know if there is a download available for the N80 making it compatable with sky anytime as for some reason this phone is not on there handset list and their download just doesn't work ????

I have just bought one. Does anyone know if you can lock the memory card so to view whats on it, you need a password ?

what a great phone...shame about the problems...im on my third now...first two worked fine until i emptied my cache and deleted all my messages...my advise go for n73 as does not have the same problems somehow...and hence this has been recalled by nokia like th n91 lets hop the n95 doesnt suffer the same problems as i am dreaming of the day i can hold that baby in my hands!!!

This handset sux, I've only had mine for 3 months and it always freezes on me. it takes about 30 sec to a min for a txt to go through, so Im hanging there looking at the screen that says "Sending" for this amount of time. I dont like the stability of the slide action it pops up too easily and feels a bit loose, Very disapointing Im glad I got this thru insurance and not have to fork out a heap load of cash - I hope that the other high end N series preform a little better
