yes, repeated alarm is not a default featire of N80 and some other Nokia phones.
although you can install a 3rd party clock software that can do repeated alarm

I dont seem to be able to set my alarm on a permanent wake-up time. I have to re-set it each night. Can this be possible for a seemingly hi-tech phone????

this is for the people who have comments on this phone:
let me be straight to you all, this phone is perfect in all manner and has no problem, battry life is good i dony know why you say the battry is weak.perhaps yours isnt original. the camera is fantastic what else do u want 3.15 mp just like n73 and n93,
the sound is very clear and loud you can easily enjoy the music.the design is unique, the slider mechanism is reliable.
the phone doesnt work slowly.maybe some of you that say the phone is slow dont know how to work with it.if you have any question about this phone please ask or email me.

Yo can anyone tell me if the v4 firmware improves the video capture?I'm really dissapointed with the quality. The n80 is ok but i'm getting tired of having to update the fw to solve problems that shouldn't be there in the first place. Also can anyone recommend a better battery? Thanks.

Hey, if this phone is anything like the N70, which it appears to be, then you cannot change the icons that are on the main screen. It looks to be the same screen format as my N70 and you can't change the icons. I could be wrong, though. Check the manual. It will explicitly say whether you can or can't.

Hi Shane,
Congrats on buying a great phone! To change the main screen shot cuts follow this:
Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Standby -> Active standby apps ...
Here you can configure your shortcuts!
cheers,
Shashank

It's slow because it has a pathetic processor and not enough RAM.

Mike
you might want to get N80 instead.
N93 is too expensive and the only difference is the video quality and you can connect N93 to a TV.
I dont think you can always use your N93 for TV or video so why pay for that feature...
