Hi guys! kindly help me.. the creen of my n80 always becomes white in turns and sometimes becomes blurry. How do i fix this? please help me.. My email address is carlos_gadgets@yahoo.com.ph thanks in advance

it will only connect if the wireless network is unsecured.Most people secure their connection using wpa encryption!wep encryption is for idiots!why use smartmovie?core player is what you want and google is where you will find anything and everything!too many negative coments regarding the n80,ok we know it's not great but it's still a decent cell

To Owen,lately my N80 has distorted image on screen&hangs,somtimes the screen is blank&restarts by itself,the fone goes haywire by the way I have latest firmware upgraded latety,please advise thanx

about the WiFi is it that you can access it anywhere?provided that there is a router
does it look for any router and connect without needing any WEP password?

Hi guys. i downloaded the f-secure antivirus n now the perscription date has expired. do you guys know when i can get a cracked version for it and also the smartmovie craked version? can you please post me the link. thank you
p/s just updated the firmware on my phone to the latest one n all the problem it had is gone. works well n its fast. get it.

I got the n80 eight weeks ago and I am now on my 3rd replacement!This phone is total garbage.I would rather have a mobile with less features that worked than one that always breaks.Last time I will ever buy a nokia.

erm can any1 give tell me about how long the battery last? for example..my phone V3x only last 1-2days..even in standby..lol.. tats the reason i m looking for a phone to change.. so can any1 help me?

its not how high the megapixel count is... its in the lens.
ive used a Samsung E730 phone with 1.3mega-pixel camera before and when i usually compare the pictures to my friend's 2mega-pixel Nokia N70, my Samsung has better quality most of the time.
but N80 has a decent photo quality.
but ofcourse not a digital camera quality.

Please can u tell me how is the photo clarity and Vedio clarity of N 80 .. Since it is 3MP.. Does it have much Clarity comparing the 2MP Cell phones.

it works like a laptop.
ive tried it several times in a gas station and the wifi is coming from inside the convinient store and im outside the parking lot and i can surf with good signal.
wifi in N80 is 802.11g so it has good signal range

Thanks for the replies guys. Also, I was wondering about places like the airport or starbucks? I am having second thoughts about the phone..lol...but it is still a good phone in my mind.

but if you have a wireless roughter in ur house its good. if u live in a flat your can assess it anywhere in the house. ive been to people house and they have a wireless roughter upstair and im down stair and it dont work.

One of the biggest reasons I want to buy the N80 is its Wifi capabality. Can people tell me how good it actually is? Is it good like laptops or do you really have to be in close range? Any comments on it would be greatly appreciated (I did read the comment on wifi by buns but I would like more input).

yes the screen is solid. good construction and stable. no issues on it, no dead pixel, no distortion or whatsoever.
and as added information, i went to Nokia Care center earlier to ask about the slider tightness. they checked my unit and said the tightness is just right and its not adviseable to adjust or to make it "really really tight" because it will squeeze the flex cable between the 'screen body part' and the 'keypad body part'. if that happens you'll experience problem on the screen like blurry or maybe distorted display. that is why Nokia made the slider with just the right tightness.
i was also informed that in case the slider gets very loose, they will adjust it back to original tightness like it was brandnew... but they told me not to worry as N80 is not a frequent Nokia model being checked in for repair in their center by their customers. they seldom receive N80 complaints.
and i know the technician who told me that is honest because i used to own a different Nokia model before and i had it check with him as well and he told me before that my old Nokia model really has issues. so he always tells me if a model is a good one or not.
which made me happy for my N80 =)

n73 video recording is better-if you owned a n70 it's the same as that for v.r.The sound is also better than the n80.Wi-fi although it is b and g loses connection v easily,7metres from router/access point and that's it,N91 wi-fi chip is superior.The N80 does look good but if people would take a reality check they would see this handset for what it is!The collective features of the n73,80,91 should have been put on one device.Nokia take note-serious smartphone users will abandon s60 unless you improve.
