      To: xelibry,

you can go to Nokia offical website and change to your local area (i.e. Asia-Pacific)
      http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,1522,,00.html?orig=/softwareupdate

Follow the steps and you can do it yourself

I have sent my N80 to have its software upgraded. Can anyone tell me if this is the same as firmware upgrading please? I bought a 2Gb MiniSD card which didnt work with this phone so that is why I need the new firmware.

I've just flashed my N80 with a new firmware: Now the version is:
            V4.0623.0.41
            26-07-2006
            RM-92
            Nokia N80(11)
So far I don't see big difference except the embedded AntiVirus and Adobe Reader (though still require activation, which sucks). I think the Web browser is more stable so it won't be automatically exited when going through various pages in history. I have yet to find out where the FOTA service is. Does anyone know any other new feature/good news related to this firmware?

                    @Nima
If you want better camera (especially in low light condition), sound and faster response you may choose K800.
But if you want better video, use your phone to business, need wifi on your phone and like to add application with symbian than you may take N80.
May we know, what are exactly you need and which phone are you using now?

krissii, I would say you opted for the worst network. Everybody knows this very well that Orange has had problems regarding N80's software and they eventually discontinued this phone and any symbian phone. You could have tried 02 or Vodafone.

Nlma, it depends what you want. Both are good phones. However if you like music, go for SE,for business or you want WiFi, then go for N80. But from my personal experience i would recommend N80, as it has everything that you want. Music is good, Camera is very good. Up to you.

Another update for you, I got my FOURTH N80 only 2 days ago on Tuesday and by Thursday morning it had died! In the meantime, it froze up 6 times and switched itself off twice and on the second time, that was it, my phone was dead, never to be turned on again. And before anyone says anything, the battery is working fine! Does anyone else have this phone on Orange in the UK and is anyone else having such massive problems as me? I'd be interested to know please! As it stands I have to say that despite what it can do, this is the WORST phone I've ever had. Sorry but it's true, and nobody wanted to love this phone more than me. Such a shame.

                                    what you mean "foil" ???
if it fits in easily, then of course im going to buy one... if you have to force it in there, then whats the point?
i have 3 spare BL5-B batteries in my bag when i go away...
how come Nokia dont sell the BL6-C for the N80 then?

I tell u how i manage to put BL-6C in N80 i just foiled the battery cover little then it resides inside perfectly, foil those 3 lines on the battery cover and then it will fit perfectly, the Bl-6C is just thicker and the dimesion are same as BL-5B. its up to u use it or not.
