to the LADY with the n80, dnt fix it if it aint broken hun, just coz its a new firmware dnt mean to say its better, if ur not getting any probs with n80 at the min then id leave it, unles u have a branded firmware?

I got this phone yesterday, i love it!!! i am putting songs on it now i also bought 1gb memory card with it. I did have trouble putting the simcard in lol

yes it's good to know that the set i've acquired is stable and no faulty at all. i bought it from an authorized Nokia outlet. so far my N80 is not giving me any problems yet. just that i will be going to my Nokia outlet again to see for firmware upgrade. i hope the firmware upgrade will betta up my N80 :)
btw is N80 only aquired by men? because im a LADY using it! lol

i believe the guy who said he hasnt had ANY probs with his n80 because i havnt had a prob either, not 1! Mines locked to voda uk but they havnt branded it!

Aly - had mine from Orange 11 days ago and no real probs, in fact pleased with it! Lost orange server once but they sent settings fix by text, said glitch and not happened again.
Anyone - didn't get response to my question about increasing fontsize for reading and writing texts. Don't think can be done, does anyone know definitely one way or the other.

hi, i try to transfer all my phone memory content using Pc suite via cable and it stop on 1% and say that phone connection lost. Backing the memory card is no problem, but just the phone memory. anyone can help please? All i am interested is to backup my contact so as to be able to transfer it on anothe mobile.

ha ha some1 called gupta, no way! is there a difference between the black and silver 1 apart from the colour, ppl say that its different software on them, is this a load of bull?

i've had this phone for abt a week. it's a great, compact phone.
i've been reading this posts even before i bought the N80. despite all the negativity of the phone, i absolutely found no problem with mine. picture and videowise, just change the settings provided and u will get an excellent image/video. batt does'nt drain out quickly. 2 days with WLAN, GPRS, SMS's n calls (i'm on 3G network). slide is fine, no wobbles. keypad is OK. brightness is OK. Speaker is LOUD n good. MP3 is fine. web browser super smooth n fast. multiple application is good. it has'nt hang eversince. all in all, i find no faulty at all. at 1st i was worried abt the LOCK/UNLOCK as u have to slide the phone to get it LOCKED but then i found out that u just havta press the POWER KEY briefly and a list will come out to LOCK KEYPAD (when the phone slide is up).
i'm having a breeze with mine :)

its the best phone in the market, loaded with features. the only thing is that the camera at the back has no cover, isnt that sensitive? another, the processor is a bit slow, how fast is it compare to other smart phones? tnx

Gupta, might you know which firmware packs (V01-V09 i believe) contain which languages? Are there other differences aside from language and other localization aspects? Thanks

i got this phone few days ago and start having problem, first the phone would turn off itself quite regularly, speaker volume is low, when i play mp3 it would just stop without me touch it or anything, slide seems getting loose very easy, overall this phone is not worth the money i paid, think twice b4 you buy it, nokia really has produce some low quality phone, shame to nokia!

OK guys to improve your battery life do this,
Menu --> Settings ---> Network -- "network mmode" choose gsm. instead, if you had dual you will find that your battery will last 2 time sas long :D
charegd mine over night, un pkuged at 11am now is 12:25am thats 13 hours still on FULL battery. i ahve been playing music taken pics talking havent sent no sms.

Thats NOT true at all,as i have the N80 for almost a month now i dont see or feel any problems with the sliding thing at all.works fine as just got it yesterday.
even the review says:The arresting mechanism between the two parts works VERY well too.
same idiot lies have been told about the W900i,when ppl started to say its getting loose when i still have this w900i since it hit the market and AGIAN lol it doesnt show any problems.
to everybody.....
THERE are alot of ppl here who just like to speak without being honest,and almost all of those liers dont really have the N80 or even smelled it lol.
ppl say here(when you cant reach the grapes you say its Sore)
same thing here,they couldnt buy the N80 so they burn from inside,thats why they alot just mention bad stuff about the N80.
over all, its the best in market with no phone to be compared with.
