hmmm i've been watching this forum with great interest. I too am waiting for the Nokia N80 and i know that most of the Ebay sites are scams. However i just can't go past the one being sold in Australia. Being form Australia this guy has caught my interest because i can pick the phone up and meet him. Also the pictures he put they look geniune unless he's done a great photoshop. What do you guys think?

For UK people:
Carphone warehouse say at least a month, the link don't have a clue, o2 doesn't either. Vodafone said 24th April, but he said it would probably be branded.

Nokia now are going to announce the release of the new "N" model N73 its slimmer than the N70 an has a larger screen an just hope its camera is one with auto-focus,the N80 better get released soon or Nokia must be having software problems so come on Nokia get this model released soom my contract finishes in may an want to see a full review of the final released model before i make my choice wether to get the N80 or the K800i Sony Ericsson so gsmarena please do an early review please so i can make the right choice

It seems everyone is getting their knickers in a twist about when it's going to be released, people are trying to be helpfull and give dates, but they never say which country it relates too. I would imagine most countries would have slightly different dates when the phone will be available in stores etc.
As for "Truthteller" I'm not saying the information he has is not true, but it seems a little suspect that the same person also posted under the name of "John" and "Paul Burke" on the 16th April saying how "Truthteller" was right. But all messages were from the same ID "Y11e" So why should anyone believe you, are just trying to deliberatly to wind people up?
At the end of the day, it appears it will be released imminantly in most places. So let's just wait until you see it your local shop, rather than get worked up over who's right and who's wrong over the release dates.

anybody got the phone number for nokia? i cant get through to the correct department to enquire about this phone.
I got through to somebody in the wrong department and she was a fked up cow, she said
"your not through to the correct department so hang up because your holding up the line"

The carphonewarehouse.com site doesn't even have the N80 on it anymore. It's only got the N91 in the coming soon bit.

Those auction in eBaY is a trap. Is like 200-300 euro each phone(N70,N80,N90,N91...) and will get discount when purchase more units. This is all nonscense!! After you make the payment, phone will never arrived. Don't ever believe those conman in eBaY!

Everybody hear this. The N80 has shipped to all European Mobile Phone Sellers and they have it in stock, and will be announced today 18th April or the latest tomorrow. The reason is that Nokia wants to publicly make available this phone to the mass together in all countries. Get your pocket ready though because this phone is expensive 400 Pounds.

the phone is just a week away from singapore market.
Please remember that Singapore market has always been one of the earliest in releasing phones as compared to EU markets.
IDA is currently testing the phones already.

People, It must be getting close - This link is to the Nokia Product Support page for the N80 on the Asia Pacific regional website. This usually means it's getting close.

At the very least, you can downoad the varouus guides, which will hopefully answer peoples questions on the phone, what it does, and how it works.

i saw in nokia asia-pacific website (http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,,82181,00.html?status=new) that this N80 phone is already under "New Release", not uder "Upcoming Model" anymore.
From 6280 experience, I suspect that the phone will not be out in the market until 1 or 2 months later, depend on network operator local testing.
