Look i think it will be coming out in April it's the safest bet. The companies are saying that they will have them around 20th of April so i'd assume around then. The prototypes have been tested, and so you would assume it's not far off completion.

I think we should be expecting it soon, but we'll not know untill it just happens, i presume they're just going to appear at shops ...so keep your eyes out guys, and post post post when u c em!

    Regards, Anthony

P.s We all love you Nokia N80!!!

Where are the tall claims of having N80 released on 31st March??????? The date has finally arrived but not Nokia N80. I told you already guys even though we all want it, no one can honestly declare a date for release as even Nokia doesn't know when they will be able to do so ;) I would be impressed even if it is released in May. Trust me guys I am not to dissapoint you but reality is reality. Nobody knows when this phone would be released.

        Hi SJ,
Hmmm... I agree. The most "power-hungry" thing in N80 is wifi. Phone has a mode, configurable under access points, for automatic search of networks. You can congifure it to search every 1 minute or 2, 5 or 10 minutes. Of course you can turn it off too, but when on the N80 displays a icon showing you are under wifi coverage. Very nice, but requires a lot of power.
        Regards!!

            Dan,

I doubt the battery life will change much, unless you have a faulty battery or Nokia decides to use a processor that consumes a lot less power (which I doubt). All the reviews/stats clearly state that this phone has a 3 hour talk time. That doesn't include the wifi use, which I assume, uses more power. I wouldn't recommend playing any type of video on the phone, that will really drain the battery quick.

              Hi Leo,
Battery life is a BIG drawback. Battery life is absolutely crap. You have to charge every night if your use is only "moderate", and you have to carry the charger to work, etc if you use wifi along the day. After a 20 min. call, battery drops 1 bar. I never see a phone which empty battery so fast!! But my N80 is a prototype. Hope Nokia solve this in finished units.
              Regards.

I just can't wait until is available here in the us. The only drawback of this phone is battery life. Hopefully it is not that bad!

No NOT by website ! Look at Sonyericsson how they've burned their fingers with the k750i online update (it can be hacked by malicious customers). What will be nice thou is a official, free upgrade CD !

according to nokia with the N80 users will be able to update the firmware over the air. I'm surprised that a feature like this wasn't available a long time ago beacause sony ericsson already alow customers to update the firmware from their website.

I wondering about Nokia, when is going to allow us to update firmware by website.. rather than visiting the Nokia Care shop

                            Hi guys,
After 1 week using a N80 (prototype unit), I can confirm: the battery life sucks! Only 1 day of normal use with wifi on a few minutes. This is the most negative point of this fantastic phone.
                            Regards!

all i know is what i was told by a representative at Carphone Warehouse, which is that they are expecting the N80 on Monday but if they don't get it then they will know for sure when they will get it in. The reason it says May on their website is because up until now no one new exactly when the N80 was being released so May was just a rough estimate.

i have just spoken to vodafone upgrades department(uk) and the mokia n80 and n91 have both been delayed till 26th of april:(
personally after all the delays i think nokia are taking the p**s.

quadband edge/gsm means 850/900/1800/1900. so either you read it wrong or they misprinted. in any event, thier site is right now.
