Guys this is nonse. I'm reading this and looking for news since January 06 !, that means I'm waiting for N80 to be released almost three months and ¡ still no final date for the event !.
Honestly, I'm gonna wait till 1st week of april, if it has not been released yet, I will forget about N80 and buy another.
I feel Im being fooled...

Nokia N80 to be released by O2 in UK on 16th May. Date given by customer service as at 16th March 2006.

Unfortunatley that presentation has been up for a month already so that doesnt have to mean anything :(

this phone must be comming soon if they have set up all the demonstrations and everything loks fantastic. dont fancy looking at the price tho lol

The way I see it, frankly. Nokia will loose some customers by releasing this device. It has got everything. I'm not a nokia freak, but simply there is no match in the market.
I belive tehy know it well.
And the unknown guys looking for a comprision between this and N92. well it's the form factor. You want to carry around a heavy clamsheell that yon can't keep in your pocket which comes with a 16M display but a 2mp cam or you want a lighter phone in slider form which looks pretty much same size of a credit card and still comes with a 3 mp cam and all the connectivities. Its your choice.
Personally I will go for N80.
Nokia could have simply put a 5 mp cam on the space they used in N92. It doesnt take so much space to put a 2mp cam.

I guess you're right buddy! i'm sorry but thats what i have been told by the agent of NOKIA in my area.
Some here also told me that they wont give me the right date of lunching the N80 cause they still want everybody to go for N90,70,and NOIKA 6280, they wont give me anything ture cause if they do then everybody will stop buying those phones and wait for the N80 instead and they DONT want this to happen.
The point is that you're right,sorry for that UNture comment of mine.

guys... ! better buy other brand of phone in steal of keep waiting ... ! no ppls will know when the N80 release.. ! now is 19 of march if u guys still keep waiting .. ! just make ur crazy.. ! try to get other phone is better ! it's very bad if u waiting for some one at very long long time. so i cant wait at all i will try another brand of phone.. !

San: Sorry, but your post makes absolutely no sense at all.
1. N91 was announced in april 2005. Are you trying to tell me N91 "was" released in October?
2. N70 and N90 were both announced in April but N90 started shipping in September while N70 started shipping in October. In short, 5 and 6 months. So basically your theory is that EVERY future Nseries device will ship 6 months after announcment and you are basing this theory on TWO devices? Your theory isn't waterproof mate. Especially when it was 5 and 6 months and not 6 (not to mention N91 which starts shipping a year after annoucment).

Maybe it's may in portugal - but in the UK it's coming out either the end of March or beginning of April.

IMPORTANT...........
N80 will NOT be in markets by the end of this month at all.
the N80 will be out in may and this is for sure,if we look to all N phones then we will see that it took 6 months for each to hit the market after its been Announced! which 100% means N80 will take the same time.

i am a reguler read in this forum. Many people said that the n80 will release in march end. now some people say it's in may, june ..
So i think this is not a good sign....
So tell me is it really going to delay????
I gave some money to a friend of mine to buy this phone for me.
So shall i ask him to stop searching for the phone? ?

Hi, i phone yestarday myself nokia oficial center in portugal and they told me the nokia n80 is just gonna be available in the end of may.Thats not really good because im tired of waiting for this phone,nokia gonna lost clients with this atitudes.

ANdy B, What let downs with the N70 and 6280 they have been one of Nokia's most succesful ever releases im a seller and they have sold like hot cakes going cold! Thats probaly why they are delaying the release of this as the sales nor the N70 have not slowed down whatsoever and the 6380 is a wkd handset a few minor probs (Isn't that normal with all current handset releases!)but only just been released with Vodaphone and is already a popular choice.

im gona get it unlocked so it doesn't have like crappy vodafone software or anyfin on it. Im gona then get it on vodafone live cos with them u can watch TV on ure phone and browse the whole internet. I wouldn't go for 3 cos u can't watch TV and if ure in the UK (like me) u can't browse the internet either!!
