I spoke to the people at my local Nokia store and they said that Nokia will ship the N80 with a European release date of Tuesday 18th April in mind. It seems that people who claim they are getting the phone sooner than this are hiding the network they are on. Perhaps this is because they are not being totally truthful! Great phone though, lets just hope the first shipment of this phone is not as bug filled as the 6280 and others!

well im recieving mine on the 5th april, many people on here have put april 20th as the date, i understand companies will be recieving it on the 2nd april and then im not sure when and who will be releasing theres. i am getting mine on upgrade on the 5th april though, some people cant accept that and call you a liar and a spoilt brat just because there jealous that you have something before them. its going to be a great phone though.

LMFAO! Find a SE with more connections then N80! You wont find ANYONE! Sony Ericsson is a crappy brand, ugly design and useless & unlogical menus..

Lol...this phone is the last hope for Nokia...If they screw this-up Sony-Ericsson or Samsung will gladly take 1st place...

lying brat? thats jealousy i can sense. i want this phone us much as everyone else on here and i am just informing people on when i am getting it, i think im doing them a favour telling them its coming out soon and i am recieving mine. Im not a spoilt brat either, i just happen to know people in high places.

Nokia have big problems with softwere for the N80,camera not working well,also it can not be expensive enough(600euros) to fullfill the gap when people stop buying other smartphones from nokia...it is time to ask yourself why the hell U are desperete to buy this phone;there is better display phones,beter cameras etc...my 6630(200euros) is still good enough,lots of softwere u can only dream to be compatibile with N80,also u can not use your expensive RS-DV-MMC because u need micro SD for this one...month after month of waiting,get real and buy phone for use instead for showing to another how u hawe newest 6630 rules

Anthony: That review of the n80 has been up for 2-3 months so it is definitly a prototype. I would imagine that they put a cheap, low quality camera on that prototype. Prototypes always improve massively in their final version.

2 weeks tomorrow until i own my N80, i cant wait. I called my mobile company yesterday to confirm it. 2 weeks is going to seem forever, im so bored of my N70

just a reminder, not all reviews on the net are 100% credible, u know y? i also dwnloaded a clip taken by N90 from a certain website and guess wat i found out, they somewhat degraded the video quality of N90 and made it look very bada & unsmooth and changed the frames per second into a very bad 7 fps only, as we all know N90 is very capable of encoding up to 15 frames per seconds of video in MP4 format and besides my uncle has N90 and videos taken from it are very far better than that i downloaded from a website! dat's wen i realized dat somehow info from net maybe very helpful but also there are times that d info/data u'll get from internet will be very deceiving and far from truth! tip, wen N80 becomes available, d best thing to do is to actually test it from a nokia store then u'll really be able to judge the video quality 100%!

BUT I SAW THE VIDEO QUALITY AND OH MY GOD ..i'd rather die. - IT'S MEANT TO BE BETTER THEN THE N70!! I had an N70 and the mp4 quality was WAY better. But lets just hope it was only that bad due to the fact it was a prototype.... *prays*
I looked up the specs on the OS - It's great!! Big improvement i think. It plays Flash files, it has a gps reciever i dono if the n70 had that. and it has voice recognition stuff, and i'm sure heaps more but all that cought my eye. I hope it is a little faster then the n70(actually make that ALOT faster).
Anyways guys - N80 RULES!!!!

I must agree with Macete about the waiting. My contract was up a couple of months ago but I'm waiting for the N80 but the wait seems never ending. Thus i am giving the phone until mid- April to be announced or I'll go for a different one! This will be a really sad decision but the phone I have now is really bugging me!!
COME ON NOKIA, YOU KNOW WE'RE JUST WAITING!

the nokia n80 will be great! all of the features are brill and it sounds fab! :)! to bad it wont be in the shops this mnth cz im rely lukin 4wrd 2 gettin 1! as far as im concerned i will wait for the n80 2 b released and will then buy it.if u rely want the n80 ur just gunna ave 2 wait like me......................... but it will most certainly b wrth da wait.
