    To sup,

N80 should be released as official as i could get my eyes at on the 1st querter of 2006 which makes this month of March the last month of the first quarter.

The N91 has been said to be released later on thsi year, when i have no clue.

As to the price of the N80, it is said to go for about ~U$500 give and take, no solid answer to that though.

      Thanks Lami for the information.

I wish n80 has 3.5 mm audio output jack like n91. This phone will be great. And more internal memory... he3...

Lami, do u know when this will be release? anyway, im in melbourne, australia.
I have read it in ... should release in this year, and definitely after n91, but there is no real information.

This is way too funny! I don't see why people on here and on the K790 & K800 threads are having a war between the N80 and the SE new K-Series.

First of, each one is superior in it's own fasion. K800 in multimedia and N80 in coommunications. N80 has great multimedia functions and so does the K800 in communication.

The delegation towards this balance depends on the individuals priorities, and not what makes this or that a better phone! I am a nokia fan, but i also held SE and currently hold a Moto handset! That's not the point here.

SE are great phones in my opinion. Not even the biggest nokia fan can deney that fact. They are just not the same market target! You guys wana bash and flood the threads with pethetic Nokia vs. SE, do it somewhere else.

Facts are facts, read and you'll simply see. You can not compare the N80 with the K800 or vise-versa. Not that one is better than the other as a whole, they are just DIFFERENT markets for each!

Just like saying BMW is better than Merc! One is class and luxury, the other is sport and features!

It's not rocket science you know!

SE is doing what you call niche marketing. they have several different kinds of phones and they vary widly in features (as opposed to, say, motorola phones, many of which are exactly the same besides the outside appearance) but no phone has EVERY feature. this is a step towards the future, where phones will be modularized, and you will be able to mix and match accessories around a central core. but since this is a ways off, I'm sticking with the phone that has everything: the N80.

                        United Nokia fans,
for the record im not a Nokia fan or hater,
i change brand and model twice a year
and i respect all the brands.
U dont have to loose ur temper and insult everybody if ur favourite company gets onwed...
3mp-> so what?->tell that to the N80 praisers, half of the forum is full with them...

                        About the walkman function,
the official site says flight mode
and the reviews i red report it really has it, besides my remark was ironic, thats why i added a smily, i m sure some time SE will lounch a W-type of K800,
what a constructive arguementation u made there!!

MS i partially agree, but SE has no choice really, they have to support Sony's memory sticks, they dont manufacture them,
Neither Nokia makes SD, they just copy paste them, the entirnal memory though its a nother thing

Wlan?? i do have Wlan in my laptop and might have the change to use it, but the great majority of users sould be more than pleased with bluetooth 2 for mobile2mobile comunication/share and USB 2 on package for PC, its just a new need Nokia wnat to create for comercial/profit reasons.

I didnt say Symbian is for newbiew on the contrary its tooooo complicated for newbies,
Java is the official language of mobiles,
its easy to use, much more stable/bugs, cheaper(all the mobiles can have it => no compatiblity problems or extra cost problems)
Java can handle every need of the average user,
                        opera broswers,word readers,Nes emulators etc

                        Again that finished N80?
if Cam+compact is important even LG can own it,
                        if features many many others,
the N80 was popular for a certain reason and u know that...
and it got owned home on its strenghs points

What the Suck SE Phone ! ! !
the SE Design look childish, what we need is Function but not Design. Now A Day, Nokia Design also look more nicer than SE oledi ... Seems N70 / N80 / Nokis 8800 / Look more Class, is suitable for RICH person like us. But SE Design is jus like Childish ! ! ! Not Standard Not Class at all, seems like for those Childish person use only. Try to Compare the Function with N80. Oh No ! ! ! "SE" Jus stand a side okay ... ! ! !
                          Sorry SE , that`s truth ! ! ! BWAHAHAHA ... SE really low standard and Not Class at All. This will Lower ppl`s Standard, tat`s what i don`t like . SUCK ! ! !

Every one got diffrent Opinion, cannot said SE K800 is batter than N80. or something like Cell with Camera not Camera with phone. Alright, i like travelling and i hate bring a lot of terrible PDA or CAMERA or Laptop. So, now the N80 is useful for me ! i can use WiFi where ever got wireless access, some more i can directly capture without wating Digital Camera Boot. i also can Check Email and get some information VIA 3g or WiFI services. On the other hand, i can listen to the Radio or MP3 with out bringing any MP3 player. So, what SE can do actually ? No 3g No WiFi, some more will Jam and Quick Low Batt. Oh No ! if not worng, SE software always got problem. So ... is depent on ppl`s Opinion.

To all HARD CORE Sony Ericsson BIG TIME FANATICS!!!:

please stop complaining about a mobile phone without auto-focus. u all know y? bcoz a mobile phone is a mobile phone and definitely NOT a TRUE digicam! cellphones with a camera is just a bonus and a majority of people will agree with me that flash and auto-focus are not that important features in a phone! if you want a real digital camera then buy a REAL digital camera not a sub standard digicam bundled with a cellphone! no wonder Sony Ericsson is beaten by samsung and motorola by rank in the mobile industry in terms of sales because "phone features" are better in them and nokia the worldwide leader in mobile phone market has the best balanced feature set with excellent and "real" phone features! here's a better view!

Nokia = Excellent Phone with great multimedia and entertainment functions and bonuses

Sony Ericsson = Great Still Camera (with slow auto-focus [takes around 4-8 seconds] b4 a picture is actually taken; great multimedia and entertainment functions BUT very INEFFICIENT in "real" phone features!

that's why SE is behind samsung and motorola and way way far behind to nokia! bcoz a mobile phone is USED primarily for COMMUNICATION and not to USE it mainly for taking PICTURES and make them act as a real digicam! maybe SE should know this so they can make more money like motorola, samsung and nokia. perhaps SE fans use their mobile phones primarily in taking pictures and not for communication that's y they like SE! hahaha, absurd!

I can bet my right arm that K800 will have a better camera than N80,
i have seen many previews on both phones,
                                than many different sources,
in most of the pages here all ppl were praising this phone and Nokia only because of the 3mp cam and the compact size, that was the best thing their eyes captured so far in the market,
K800 has also a great pack of features and doesnt need the crappy Symbian OS all the smartphone wonnabies have,
if u want a real smartphone go buy a Treo,O2 or smth (not even M600->Symbian 9,1)

I was there though to remind the Nokia fans this is a known comercial strategy from Nokia to try and gain the theoretic supremacy of tech anouncing phones much earlier than their competitors
and here comes K800 with a better camera and a more compact design, this phone got owned ,beaten at its strong points, even before get on market...

                                  Hey Andy Burgin,

I'ma make this short, gotta run off to a meeting in 10!

First off, i say to myself, you want a crazy ass camera, go buy a camera, i wanna buy a cell with a camera and not a camera with a phone! I like a balance, and not the best in one and not the other, i'd much rather get something that is great in everything, and the N80 does just that. Hell if the N80 had no camera at all, (except for 3G camera) i would still get it over the K800 personally. And it would be smaller lol.

Secondly, what you on and on about K800 being better, then you contradict youself by saying N80 should improve software! Are you for real. Symbian S60 3rd Edition Operating System in the N80, what K800 got huh!

K800 is a great phone, i really like it, it's durable, it's dependant, it has many great features and it really depends what you want, period, nothing is better than nothing, they are all different in thier own fasion, but when you wanna talk facts, get em sorted out first bro!

                                      You see i told you,
it was just a comercial trick
and by the time this phone is getting out for sale,
the other brands will already have the answer to own Nokia once again (SE K800)

                                      Nokia was never innovative,
they just announce their phones earlier...
