i prefer sony ericsson w900i to this. even though this probably has a better camera.

Jack, who told you this phone got a bad cell life?? Please do your reseached before putting your comment here ya. As for your that Sony Erisson phone, it's time you throw it into the sea.

The N80's battery is inadequate amps wise when compared to a 'standard' cell phone. On the other hand let's not forget the new OS goes at lenght to preserve the battery whenever possible ! Nobody knows until the cellphone is released because everything is new ! Cell and OS. No other cellphone has ever been released with this OS. (SE prommised to be the first but faild with the P990i) On the other hand one can always replace the battery with a QD's one. Fortunately we know the battery holder's dimmensions (they are the same as the N70).

i have k750i but i might get this phone next year i know it has bad battery life but they might make a extended life battery.

I've held a prototype and I must say that the phone is so wide and THICK!!! The length is ok but this disappears when you slide it open. It's quite heavy too so it feels kinda weird for those who carry their mobiles in their pockets.

TO nD.............
N80 doesnt have a spring to help open the phone.it has a new thing,the guy/guys who wrote/did the main review of N80 say that when trying it,it didnt have spring which is new and..........blah blah blah lol.
on the other hand,these kinds of phones are not new in style so i think they know how to make a good phone that will work with no problems.

disadvantage about N80 why must it be
sliding. prefer it to be monoblock.
after a long time of sliding in & out
will the spring at the side of the phone
loose? if loose wat must i do.?

Lol are u thick the N80 won't be released in JUNE it will be released either at the end of FEBRURARY or during MARCH.. don't spread false rumours

this phone will cost around 500-550 Euros. For such smashing features i personally think it's wayyy worthit. this is THE dream phone i've been anticipating for a long time...finally...THANK YOU NOKIA. =D

n80 will be realesed in june 2006, at the end of 2Q at least in europe. Yes i know its suppost to be realesed earlier but you ll only be able to buy it in 6/2006

ffdevil, i seem to remember that the N80 can access encrypted wireless networks, i believe it does have a MAC address as well and the facility for entering WEP keys etc. I seem to remember reading it on a website as well and i have the pdf manual for the N80, it is in that as well i think.
sheirf, the N80 is much better than the N71, the screen is a much higher resolution, the camera is 3MP, not 2 as in the N71, and the N80 has WLAN. Only thing better about the N71 is maybe the battery life might be a bit better and maybe if you like having two screens.

ok now i'm confused wich one is better the n71 or the n80 the n71 has larger display but the n80 is cutter but aso the n71 has another screeen 2*,so nothing is really hass the supirior hand on the other device maybe the n71 has a taller display size dont know about the width but the n80 has the 3 meapixel(not that i'll shooot models with it)so not a big diferrence really,but the V design of the n71 i think it's kind of class,some people say it's feminin but i dont think so..maybe the coulour of the n80 is kinda a new the black & the silver who i choosee am really in a mess so somebody help me plz i still have 2 sell my 6630 wich is bytheway a gr8 phone but,we are talking about the "n series" so who i chooose n71or n80 & if n80 the black one or the silver,plz give me convincing reasons cause in my country those phone worth a fortune...

I don't understand why SKYPE is so useful because you have to pay to make calls with it anyway right? You can only make free calls to another person with skype... so can someone explain to me if im wrong or what is the big deal about skype????????????

as far as i know the n80 will release in middle march or begining of april. i dont know if this has been dalyed or not.
Does anybody have any idea of how this fone will be. how much would u be willing to pay for an n80 maximum

Since N80 hs a Wi-fi LAN technology u can use the mobile as a webcam when connected to a PC or a laptop and the streaming of the webcam image will be much clear and more impressive when compared to a normal low range PC webcams
