@The Diffusion Group Symbian is not Nokia ! Not even the S60 (part of symbian) is Nokia, althou Nokia is the biggest suplier of S60 phones which is the biggest share of Symbian by far ! SE and others have Symbian phones too, but Nokia is King when it comes to symbian. Actually Symbian is still the biggest out there (for now) WM5 is gaining momentum thou :-)

I totally agree with you guys. They promote it way ahead as soon as it gets approval from the FCC. Then by the time it's released most of us are already so bored of it so we begin anticipating the next upper end model. This is quite simply the case with the 6280. It's tie in with '3' totally cheapened its appeal and now most passionate people are looking at the n80 (which I must admit I am getting pretty bored of as well)... I totally recall in the old days when the three Nokia models ruled - 8210, 8250, and the supreme 8250.

What is the version of Bluetooth in N80? Is it 1.2 or 2.0?

Dallas, TX February 7, 2006 - According to new research from The Diffusion Group, as demand for advanced mobile devices accelerates, the battle between mobile OS vendors will intensify with market-leader Symbian gradually losing share to both Microsoft's Mobile Windows and Linux. ...

This is slowly mark the end of Nokia since SYmbian OS is the only thing that attracts most people..

to benhur,,,they spoil it as well because in the past in the days of the greyscale screen it was ages from the release of say the n8210 till the n8310.I found them days more exiting,,but,,,now they sling them out like their going out of fashion..its hard to get fully exited as there chucking out loads of the same thing,,nothing is new!!!just go back to when the first camera phones were coming out & the anticipation,,,you dont get that now

i dont understand one think in all these mobile phone companies, why do they release so many models at one time cant they give a gap of min.3mnths so the people have options later on if they relase phones every 15days or even a month it really does not help hope all the cell phone companies understand

Does this have to do with the Cingular not putting in both WCGMA nodes for their 3G?

                    Thank you.

No, N80 is not WCDMA dualband. looking at the nokia specs site, it is WCDMA 1900 OR 2100. OR means it's either- there will be 2 versions- one for NA, one for Europe/Asia.

Can someone please help me with my WiFi question as it pertains to the N80.

Does having 802.11g on the phone, enable me to use the WiFi coverage at my home, where I get very poor coverage. Will the availability of 802.11g allow me to use this bandwidth to make and receive calls with better clarity.

                          Thank you in advance,

                          MLKIDS

In regards to scamming, I'd like to raise some questions about hi-mobile.net (their ads are posted throughout this site).

I suppose it's not just hi-mobile, but it seems on ebay, the negative feedback always comes from users who have made very few transactions on ebay... newbies seem to be the ones these companies try to short-change and think they can get away with it because they have a generally good reputation.

Has anyone here purchased anything from hi-mobile? There was one complaint that hi-mobile sent the customer a "c" version of the phone instead of the "i" version which they thought they were getting. Nowhere on their site are they advertising "c" models.

You should also read the so-called user comments that people can post on each phone. I think it's pretty clear who's posting those comments.

I realize that an explanation can always be produced, but it's just something to think about.

N80 and N90 are both on the market already. Only Wholesale-distributor got the phones, so they will do business mostly with any cellphone stores in California. If you want to buy one, it is better go to the cellphone store.

N80? Hitting the market in April as a fat dino. Look at Samsung SGH-i750! More in every category.. need I say more?
