For every one Don't try and buy from this site www.mobileworld.com! He will ask you to transfer your money over western union. You will never see your money again he is a big scammer! They got fake verisign certificates and stuff. They change their domain every few weeks cos it keeps getting shutdown.

this fone's a joke. 820mAh battery is ludicrous. samsung i300x is even a lighter fone and will have 1700mAh battery. n80 will be out-of-date before it even hits the streets. nokia wake up. a waste of money.

Hari - behave please - polite respect etc like a good boy as per the forum rules!! I just think there's general frustration with the lack of accurate information here especially as regards release dates etc.. of the marvellous looking N80. My gut feel after trailing through all of the comments, is that it'll probably be available in Q2 this year, and not initially available in black :(( - I may have to go for the V3x in the meantime given that Orange UK are releasing it on Feb 6th in the rubbery blue model!! God, it's a stressfull life trying to get the best latest phones!

Thanks for the answer, after 6,52 this morning.
Of course you're right (sorry about my english, I'm from Germany), but for me, born as a real "Nokianer" and Poweruser since 1993(!), it's also important to use the phone during the day without problems. Wondering, after a few hours, because I recognized no incoming call. Looking at my N70, nice to see a frozen display and time shown on the clock from the morning. Without any response of any button. This might be funny, but not for me, thinking about missed calls from clients.
I realy wonder about the steps of outcomming new phones.
Nokia should polarise but sometimes I think they've forgotten the basics, but there is no Power-phone from Nokia, who never had been mine...
To all of you a nice day, waiting and waiting
Of course I will buy a N80, I'll try to be the first owner in Hamburg ;-)

TO ALL OF YOU...
Im just here to impart the people some information, so that they will stop criticising mobile phones, and will realize why there no such phrase "perfect phone to ALL people" but there is "highly recommended phone to MOST people"
Nokia is the no.1 mobile maker...
so why does it always create phones that are not perfect and make the people criticise it???
the answer is simple...
I'ts a part of their business strategy,
Nseries is part of their strategy, they separated camera phones=N90, media phones=N92,music phones=N91, connectivity phones=N70 etc... Instead of selling one perfect phone, they separated the features and they made 6 phones-which is the Nseries... so that the chance of getting profit is higher. Logically speaking, 6 chances is better than 1 chance only!!! so nokia will never create such phone that is perfect...just imagine when nokia n92 is small while having all of it's features restored, you know what would happen??? people will no longer buy nokia n80 and other Nseries phones... N80 is not actually perfect(doesnt have DVB-H,16M color LCD & stereo speakers) but it's a safe choice because it satisfies all the "BASIC" feature requirements-being small, intuitive, good looking, has advanced connectivity, powerful camera- which most of the people will morely appreciate and accept. Nokia N92,on the other hand is hightech but it doesnt have all the "BASIC" features-it's bulky, not intuitive however it boasts features that are too much for a phone for now-DVBH receiver,16Million color LCD,superb stereo speakers which is,to the extent is impractical for the majority of "normal" mobile users...but this appeals more to the so called "technoid crowd". Normal mobile users will not sacrifice the BASIC features for hightech goodies... And technoids(techno freak people) will always want phones with cutting edge technology, even if loosing some of the BASIC features...just like in N92,it loose the small dimensions, and powerful camera.
Another issue is the nokia 7280 and 7380-yes they're odd and most people find it a junk. it doesnt have a lot of features. But these phones were made for people who wants to "stand out" and have the distinct identity so don't criticise it because it wasn't created for you... the bottomline is that Nokia creates phones that satisfies "EVERYBODY". They don't only make phones that the majority will like(N70,6680,6630 etc.) but they also make phones for the very small groups of people(7380,7280,8800 etc.). So...summarizing it, Nokia offers "choices" to everybody...7380 will be the choice of fashionistas and for sure will be a junk for the bussinessmen. that's why nokia also created 9500,9300 for those group. N70,6680 etc. are part of the safe choice meaning it appeals to almost everyone... so bussinessmen may also get n70, but the n70 couldn't provide all the needs a bussinessman so that's the downside of safe choice phones--they do a lot,but averagely. And the business phones may only do some, but spectacularly. That's all! Im tired... if you do have some questions regarding why certain phone lacks a certain feature then you may just e-mail me.

yeeeeaaar! I only wanna use the phone!
I don't wanna run every week asking for SW-update, cause something does not realy work....look at my n70. Early-buyers are testers who had payed a lot more of Euros until you can get a stable phone-SW after a few of weeks for less!

about ebay...why woud anyone sell a phone at such a discount? think about it. And in addition to that, the phone isn't even released yet. Those listings get removed all the time by Ebay because they are fraudulant. It's not true of all phones on ebay but this one...definitely fake.

n71 is ugly. It's screen resolution no where near as good. it doesn't have WiFi/WLan, it doesn't have UPnP, its camera is not as good as the n80s. It sucks. So how can you prefer the n71???
