I prefer this phone as its camera does not have cover. I try testing with N70, the delay is too long to open the cover to take picture.. my personal opinion. In fact N6680 is faster in that. However, still I prefer no cover for camera portion, as it's faster when taking picture.

When it comes to N80 features.. this is really a topnotch however, I find its design so yucky.. I just hate sliding phone... sorry.. you can't have my sales on this... plus the camera don't have cover... my goodness! Camera cover is really important to prevent scratches on its lens.. I should be contented with my N70 for the moment.. but I know NOKIA will make better phones soon... good luck...

top phone, no company can make a phone as good as nokia, symbian is the best os, 3 mp is the best camera as yet, the list goes on there is no other good phones on the cards and there wont be until next year, ive had a 6630 for a year and when it was being released the hype was the same and its still one of the top phones on the market now, im happy to urgrade for 12 months with an n80

Decided to cool my interest in this phone. Gonna go for the 6280, better features, same screen quality and only a smaller camera. Not a problem for half the price. This phone is going to cost ££££££, believe me.

so far d best nokia ever (in specs) "Tester" i agree with u, SE is quite good in sound, camera and battery, but their real phone features are not that good (for me) dat's y i've junked a number of SE phones before. ask for me, i prefer a mobile phone with Symbian OS than a camera with auto-focus and flash. each manufacturer/models has its strong & weak sides plus d fact dat each of us r not alike, we hav r own preferences and needs, it just so really happened that nokia has more models to offer with varied target market segments which i think brought them into d number 1 spot! besides my panasonic LX1 can do d auto-focusing, flash, image stabilization, record and play 16:9 Aspect: 848 x 480 pixels @ 30 fps of video plus much more! (sorry, maybe i should hav not included that panasonic stuff) :)

If the prototypes that are available now arent close to the final product, then it means the N80 will arive on the market very very late,(when the other brands will already have smth similar, maybe better to show)
if the prototypes are in the final stage of the production then it means this phone isnt as impressive as its anounced to be...
if this this will be combined with the high estimated price and the very low(much above average) battery wich is going to be a big problem for bussinesman, then this phone's sales wont be good at all and NOKIA will loose even more...

So far in market, SE is the best in terms of Camera and Sound. Reviewed in this site that camera quality is better than N90 which is the best camera in NOkia phone so far.

As for N80 camera quality, there's no much improvement in terms of quality. Only improvement is from 2 to 3 MP. Photos taken by N80 is shown in mobile sites by reviewers. Not impressive.

But still I prefer Nokia as it uses Symbian, else I will abandon it.

how can you say the camera is bad, when you have never used this phone, seen any pictures taken by this (non-prototype) phone~? Shows that u know s*hitall about fones if u are judgeing the camera by a prototype version!

how do u know it has a bad camera ? u never tested it in the first place.
Sure ,symbian OS may have bugs etc...
but you don't know whether the Version 9.1 of symbian OS has fixed those errors.
                          For battery life , you can buy a batter battery , like BL-5C (970mAh) or BL-6C .

Pathetic Battery-life, bad camera (worse than K750 or Sharp 903, a lot of 'bugs', Definitely a Waste!

You Know What......I've concluded that NO ONE
really knows when this phone is gonna come out. Everyone makes predictions and they try to back it up with some lie i.e "i talked to a nokia representative". and when that time comes it's still not out, so someone else does the same thing. They are just gonna keep on doing it until the phone is out.

I am really looking forward to buy this awsome....camera with a phone in built...hehe...i guess its not wrong to call it a cam. Though I was plannin to lay ma hands over an atom (O2) but i guess besides a touch screen windows and stereo speakers, every thing is the same, but with a better cam, 3g, and a lot more convenience...man i love it, gods knows what will be the price and when will I grip it in india.

                                    curious!!!!:

N80 have better, more advanced features than N92. You say that if N92 was smaller and more light-weight, everyone would buy it. Not true. N80 is still a better phone. N92 is only good for those that wants TV and a bigger screen (which at the same time has fewer pixels)

You also say that stereo speakers on a phone is a good feature and that it's "missing" from the N80. That proves how much you know about mobile phones... Stereo speakers on a mobile phone is 100% USELESS. That is a PROVEN fact!

so you say that the N80 will be available in shops in 6 or 7 weeks? around the first week of March? Somebody of nokia have told you that? is that 100% or 99% shure?hehe... or just a think of you?

The battery life of n80 is indeed quite unacceptable. I don't think the battery size of bl-5b and bl-5c had alot difference where bl-5c would offer much better battery life. There are similiar device which offer better battery life than n80, which is se p990i, eventhough it is 16g heavier
