For god sake does no one read! N80 deffiantly has stero but not stereo speakers so ye su can only enjoy it through headphones! Not that many phones bother with stereo loudspekaers as headphones will always be better!

To whoever may be concerned with the MP3 or any other form of music playback, I am almost 100% sure that the playback is in stereo. However, as the N80 does NOT have stereo speakers, you can only enjoy the "stereo effect" through the earpiece or headphones.

n80, I guess the difference between the screens of the N80 and D600 is mainly caused by the number of pixels, not colours. To get a better picture, you won't notice much difference between a 6680 screen and a 6630 screen, I think that's what Basse wanted to say.

Basse: The human eye can tell the difference, Easily. The N80 screen will be far clearer than any other mobile phone when it comes to text or small font and of course high detail photographs.

The N80s picture is compared to the d600. I think you can easily tell which one is better.

yes it will go on the internet from your wifi router. It will be very good for just regular browsing aruond the house... and if u can get streaming media u can watch TV anywhere in the house too... wow i cant wait for this.

omg they are alot of people talking crap about this phone!!!
read the specs!! its the best.
yes it have wifi b/g!!!
it does support themes
it have stereo sound and it will come with an adapter to 3.5mm earphones (yes if you have a expensive Bose one you can use it!)
it have 256k colors aka 18 bit but thats like the best you can get!!! the 24bit are not out yet!! only a few manufactures have them in like 2, 3 phones. neither samgsung or sony ericsson have them yet in masses
so please stop talking crap and get your points RIGHT

Yes George, the phone can connect to your router if your router accepts WI FI G which all routers do from about the year 2000 upwards! So you will be fine!

To all you idiots that complain about colours in Nokia (256k) phones:
16 million colours in other phones are nothing more than a marketing stunt. Most phones have less than 320x240 as the resolution and even if every pixel is of a different colour, you will ONLY need 76800 colours anyway. It is absolutely dumb for you guys to believe that 16 million colours will make a difference. On a small screen, there is no difference between 16 million and 256k anyway and there is no such thing as a picture that does not duplicate colours across multiple pixels on the screen anyway.
Quit complaining about the colours and grow a brain!!

Hiya
I actually have a question regarding this phone rather than a opinion.
I am awaiting my upgrade date to come around and i am not sure if i should wait for the N80 or get the N70. I love the N70 for the feel, it has not get that plastic feel. The 6280 out soon is platic feeling, the N80 looks simular. Anyone tell me if it feels like the N70?

Doesn't make any sense Basse. Theres a huge difference.
And, Yeah the music player is definatly stereo sound.

Just checked the N80 website,it says Music Player with Stereo Audio.
I don't think Nokia would be dumb enough to screw over another potentially good product by giving it mono audio again.

I will probably be getting this phone,but a question begs to be answered.
Is mp3 playback stereo or mono?If it's mono,I will skip this phone and stick to my PSP.

I got the mobile 3 days back by one of the vendors. after 3 days testing this is what I found:
- N80 is faster than my N70
- I have 2 2GB card and it was tested fine (great..2G ..waaw)
- Speaker quality is excelent , same like the N70
- Nokia representative said that the price would be around 500 Euro (same as N70 when it was released)
- Upnp was tested with my TV which also support Upnp, it was great (N70 does not support Upnp)
- Video zooming is 5X
-N80 is small compared to all smart phones, smaller than my N70
- Screen resolution is EXCELENT, the best, way better than my N70
- I was able to play Mpeg4 files
- Keypad was goos, (N70 is 1% better)
- Support Wifi while N70 don't
- have new symbian OS while N70 supports the old one
- camera is 3Mp while my N70 is only 2Mp
So after this conclusion N80 is much much beter than my N70. I think i'm gonna sell my phone and get the new N80

No WiFi, Only 256K color .. too big! not impressed.
