    I gotta this phone.
    .It's terribly slow
    .Doesn't have optical zoom
.Card is only up to 2GB (whereas N70 is upto 4GB)
.Music player is mono only radio is stereo
    .Too expensive
    .UpNp is quite complicated
    .U can't put themes
.20x Zooming doesn't apply when u takin video
.Video is the same as N70 (CIF)
.Quite heavy and big (it's like a brick in your pocket)
    .Doesn't play M-peg 4 formats whereas the N70 does
    .It's really thick
.The display size is really big so u won't be able to see things on your screen clearly
    .It's extremely fragile
    .Buttons are not comfortable
So after this conclusion N70 is much much beter than N80 and it's also cheaper. I think i'm gonna sell my phone and get the best phone of nokia..... N70

"Man will you shut up! Camera is still good and yeah it doesn't have optical zoom wow!..."

Was that directed at me? If it was, you have completly misunderstood the whole situation. I have the exact same opinion as you! I'm defending the N80 here... If it was directed at Louis_Loh then ignore this comment... Or maybe you read what I quouted and thought that was what I said? Well it wasn't.

omg, everyone goes crazy about this phone. it's quite good, already. guess it's the right one for me; and to be honest: i find it useless to quarrel on such banal topics; now go and switch of your pc and get drunk or talk to someone.

"Hmm, Alexx, megapixel count seriously does NOT determine the quality of a camera, and OPITCAL zoom involves the moving of the lens to sorta magnify a thing (not sure about this though), while DIGITAL zoom is only CROPPING and ENLARGING, making the image quality poorer. I can easily do a 100X digital zoom with a computer, can an N80 do that? NO. I can do a 2X OPTICAL zoom with a 903, can a COMPUTER do that? NO. You see, digital zoom is simply crap. And with regard to the part where "2 times is NOTHING", please, u are at a cliff's end, u wanna enlarge the details, DIGITAL ZOOM does crap, and u dun wanna fall of the cliff, therefore, OPITCAL zoom comes into play, hope u understand that OPTICAL zoom in a phone is indeed a evolution and a great step towards proper digicams."
Why are you telling me stuff I already know? I kept on reading your post and I just couldnt figure out what in the world was your point in posting it. I knew every single word of what you said already. Where did I say that megapixels determine the quality of the picture? Where did I say I say digital zoom was good, and optical zoom was bad (or even equal)? Optical zoom is great, but 2x optical zoom is nothing. Regarding your "cliff situation" it just sounds like a desperate attempt to defend your pitful 2x zoom. 1# How often are you in a situation like that? 2# a 20x zoom would be good, a 2x zoom WONT HELP YOU ONE BIT. 3# It sounds like you wanna take a professinal photo of a beatiful scenery here (since you NEED your 2x zoom) and if thats the case you would be better off with something FAR better than a phonecamera, its meant for personal pictures, not professional pictures. Personally I'd prefer a panorama picture in a situation like this (which N80 has, while Sharp 903 doesn't).

Btw... N80 can easily have 100X zoom with 3rd party apps so you what you said is incorrect.

Too many choices, comments, tastes, needs, everyone is different and beyond perfection,so the phones must be like us.They cannot please everyone.N80,92 are by far the best mobiles for 2006.N80 for 3mp camera, display resolution and dimensions related to functions and n92 for display dimension and dvb.

If the only reason you are considering the N80 is because u want a camera fone, don't get it because it's a waste of ur money. The n80 is packed with features and if all u are interested in is the camera get urself some other cheaper fone with a camera on.

Am I the only one that has been thinking like this:

If the N80 comes out and takes only mediocre pics in 3 mpx. Then why not just put the size to 2 mpx? Seriously, do you really need 3mpx pics?
I'm sure that the pics will look much better in 2mpx instead of 3mpx.

The camera quality for this phone is as clear as you would expect any decent camera phone. I have seen pictures taken from the N80 and they are very good, however if you are looking for top quality pictures how bout u go buy urself a proper 10 megapixel digital camera. I am perfectly happy with the camera quality of the N80.

When this phone is released it will have more features than ANY other mobile phone. You cannot expect a phone with this many features to have a very long battery life. Why don't you buy yourself a 3310 if you like a nice week or two without charging your fone. The problem is, all you can do with a 3310 is call and txt.
If you buy the N80 you have to be prepared to charge it everyday, but then, whats wrong with putting it on charge before you go to sleep every night. it's not that hard and with the amount of features you get from the N80 im sure most people would be prepared to do that :)

For people who are expecting good camera quality, u will be disappointed with it. Quality wise for Nokia phone are not good or do not have much improvement other than N90. But other features in this phone are great. Sound? That, I not too sure, any comment on that ?

Well i must say this, yes, nokia's are overrated today but that does not mean it has to be for this fone. All the specs look good, but nokia seems to release these fones really late. Another problem is the size of this. It's already quite bulky in width, but for a slider it's ok in depth. The sliding mechanisms are not great over time, but future fones will be much better. A 3 mpx Camera isn't much use either, as 1 mpx is extremely clear for a camerafone, and not too bad on a computer screen,(i myself have a 2mpx camerafone), and the video quality isn't any better than the current samsungs(D500, D600).The biggest problem however, is if this does ever get released, another sony erricson or motorola, or even a samsung will be built and released earlier to take the bait. Plus nokia will price this way too high. Just look at the current Nokia N series, which has already been beaten by the sony ericcson K750i which was released cheaper 5-6 months earlier. All this aside, this phone is absolutely fantastic, but is definitely not going to be worth it when, or if it does come out. I think nokia has lost it since it became a market leader back when the LEGENDARY 3310 was making very good profits.

I would say, this phone is a very power full phone but i still having doubts of getting this phone. The reason is:-

                                1. It's only a 262k colour phone. A taiwanese phone advertising in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has 16 million colours. Also, one of the E series also contain 16m colours.

                                2. I't a series 60. I'm use to the series 40 phone.

                                3. Polyphonic is only 48 channels. Others is 64 channels.

                                4. No wallet features.

                                5. No flash light (essential feature)

OK that's enough. This phone is not as good as I've expected. I shall then wait for a better phone while I'm keeping my old N5130.

                                Cheers,
                                Malaysia

This is the most Over-Rated Nokia Ever.

I personally don't see the hype about it. For the record: Battery Life "does" Matter & it has the lowest battery life of the upcoming Nokia Models.

Aside from this, It has the "Worst" build quality & ergonomics (note: buttons are too depressed & top buttons don't have enough allowance)of Upcoming Nokias that's why a high price is unwaranted.

It's features are not enough to overshadow its flaws. It is a mediocre media device (compared to the N92) & a mediocre business aide (compared to the E70).

I will prefer N92 or E70 anyday.....even if their eventual price is much higher.

This phones is going to be so expensive when it comes out.. at least its one of the 1st high rated phone that's goin to come out here in the US.. which means if you get this phone you get a warranty with nokia and support!! isn't that cool.. i mean im tired of getting european nokia phones and i don't get any support here in the US.. they always tell me to call europe. grrr.. nweis i hope this phone is FINLAND!! i will get this phone.. but i will wait till it reach the price of at leas $450.. rumors tells me this phone is going to be $1000 when it comes out.. so i guess im looking for about 6 months after it comes out.. besides i just recently bought me a 6270.. let me enjoy this for a while..

Apart form battery life, stuff all of that crap, this phone has better features that Nokia N92 although would be nice if it had DVB to recieve freeview etc!

First of all, this phone isn't perfect. Secondly, it isn't the best.

                                        Poor features:
-Poor ergonomics (123 buttons don't have sufficient allowance from the lower portion of the top slidder)
-Poor battey life (compare this to other phones currently around)
-Slidders have notoriouslly fragile internal mechanisms that break over time due to the repeated "sliding" motion when opening/closing the phone (so bar phones or clamshell phones are still better & last longer)
-according to softepedia.com: N92 is the best Upcoming Nokia
-according to symplification.com: E70 is the best Symbian-Based Nokia Phone

For the record: this isn't one of the best Nokia's (Nokia can do better-e.g. future N81 probably)
