Good phone, just interface a bit slower than other phones and annoying video sound and light comes on when u record a video and flash light stays on until u stop recording.
On average, battery lasts me 4 days sometimes 5 if i dont use it that much.
Usual activities include; txting and listen to a bit of music.
Battery drains really fast if you play games on it.
Otherwise good phone, really nice crisp clear display, even in direct sunlight.

i love them coz they have wifi and office application...

I bought it in June 2007, its a very functional phone, but sometimes its very slow. The battery sucks!

just bought n80 internet edition a weeks.. Version 4.07 .. overall it is a worth buying phone..
pro:
nice display
WLAN
sound quality output through loud speaker
Good built in application
Con:
restart when use silent mode
a bit heavy & thick
camera n sound(fr earphone) quality worse than K750

Hey Tsepz_N80-IE,
You cannot access your hotmail account because,there isn't an actually server to gain access too..
However you can get access to Gmail from the phone.

hmm it would seem that you are quite too keen on the dimensions of the phone...well it would seem to be normal based on your description and you are quite lucky as n80, though is an excellent phone, undeniably prone to many hardware and software faults

dear vu5f...most problem your n80s problem is the flex a sort of spring when you slide the phone to open or close......just to be sure you should go to an official nokia store and have it checked....
as far as flex...it costs about $25 to fix here in the Phils.

i haven't realy tried that but it should last around 1day if you do that. Im surfing the net constantly on my N80 in GSM mode (3G And WiFi turned off) and it lasts quite a long time. Im not sure what the firmware number is of the latest firmware.
Ive got fw version: V4.0623.0.42
and its very stable.

thanks 4 ur reply. If i use music 2hr, 40 capture pic, 20 min video, 30min talking/GSM (without using wifi,3G.) , It can stay 1day ?? Plz give me upgrade firmware version number.

The N80 is great,you can listen to music for more than 3hours, its speaker is louder and clearer than N70. The Silver one is Metal at the front ive got the Silver one. The difference between normal and Internet Edition is mainly just that the Internet Edition has the Internet folder with Download manager and more stable firmware.

Rather get N80, the N91 is great but it has a VERY poor display, and camera aint that great also its texting buttons are realy small. The N91 has much better Sound Quality than N80 but N80's sound quality is not that bad at all,its actualy pretty good,and the screen is just TOO dam good you will love it,its a little monster, WiFi works great and pretty fast when on the net :-) and the rotating gallery is a great feature also the Camera pics arent that bad at all,its a great ALLROUND Multimedia device im loving mine a lot right now! Only let down is the battery life but it aint too bad.

i have this phone for nearly 2 yrs and maybe i can help you. the phone does take a while to start. you have the white screen when you start it and the reason it it takes time to boot the OS. updated firmware should i hope sort this out, but ive been looking and there is no updated firmware yet.
to vu5F about memory card." the max size is 2gb, that the one i am using on my phone and it works brilliantly.
to Khuram:
my advise is too stick to the n80. the n80 design is honeslty really poor(it doesnt match the n81) but as far as other features (camera,mp3 player and office and 3rd party application) are concerned,it is really good.
to andre:
my phone fell over the stairs and the opening system was a bit loose and i had the same problem as you. i fix it with a little piece of toilet paper just at the end of the sliding canal. it is not really a highly technical way to fix this, but nearly one and a half year later, it is still holding. no loose problem anymore.
to belay:
the battery life of this phone is really good. (as far as the one i have which is the original). the battery life is much better than the n95. but it does not match SE phone like the P1i.
i am not a super technical guy and i am a true user of the n80, anymore question are welcome

i got this fonw yesterday and it already wont work
i turn it on and it gos to a white screen with the backlight urning on and off dos anyone know how to fix this

im sorry for askin this cuz i know it musteve been asked before ..many times..anywayzz..whts the max size of the memcard we can put in the n80?1gb 2gb?any feedback plz..cuz the 128 mb card is simply not enuff

What I should get? This baby with brilliant display and 3mp and rotating gallery, or should I get the music heavy N91 whith poor display and 2mp and no rotating gallery.
The N80 audio quality through headphones is good or N91 is really the king of musicphones? If not, the quality is closer to N91?
I have a chance to buy both phones at the same price and don't offer me N73 because it lacks wi-fi.

bought this fone today. working great........but there is a little lateral twisting movement between the upper and lower parts of the fone........is it normal? someone pls answer........i'm worried abt my new fone........and its my 1st sliding fone...tnx in advance.

In Bulgaria I think Nokia N80 Internet Edition is Number 1! The price is perfekt, full package of functions! In use Standby of battery is environ 2 days!
