hey guys.. i just bought an n80 after carrying a 6270.. i think its a great phone but im havin a problem.. i got to transfer every thing from the old phone to the new one.. but i didnt know how to transfer the saved mssgs from the 6270 to the n80.. can any one help plzzzzzzz...

Well, the latest firmware still remain 4.07.. I am also waiting for it to fix the same problem you are experiencing..

Thanks a lot for replying. when i consultd the nokia service center they told me that i have to update my version to 5. so i'll try that and let u know.

Ok, this is my opinion about N80.. Have been using this particular phone for almost a year.. Yes, the battery life sucks but not a problem for me as I do purchase another standby battery for emergency.. Have some minor problems with the phone at first especially sending messages or email out slow but can be fix with the firmware update..
First impression towards the phone, it seems bulky but it is not.. Pretty cool design I would say.. Extraordinary than others.. Everything seems fine to me except the video.. Picture is ok although it does not equip with CZ lense and autofocus.. Sound is pretty loud at 70%.. Nice surfing with WiFi.. And I can't think what I should write some more.. Overall it is a good phone to get but I would suggest to get another battery if you are a heavy user in call..
And N73 users, please stop praising your own N73.. Not to say that great compare.. Camera just slightly, oh yeah I repeat again "SLIGHTLY" ahead of N80 and it does not come with WiFi.. Anyway, I hate chocolate bar phone..

About the firmware 4.07, I think everyone are encounting the same problem by unable to check the balance especially for most prepaid user.. I just send a feedback to Nokia few days back and they said they will look the matter into it.. I think the Wireless LAN on the main screen disable the checking balance system..

I've ben usin N80 for the past 2 months and it has been wonderful. Just one problem is that with my version (4.07) i am unable to check my balance on PAYG (Pay As You Go).
can anyone please please help me?

The N80 is a very good phone. Just a little complicated when you start using it but you will get use to it. Very good features and design.I would recommend everyone to try it out

fahmi :: they're both the exact same hardware. However, the N80ie (Internet Edition) has a better firmware that includes more internet and wireless tools as well as the ability to make VoIP calls through Gizmo or Truphone. I can yell u the diffrence between n80 & n80ie ,but please don't laugh,the ie doesn't have wireless lan, but n80 has ..

I bought this N80 in Singapore
It has 512 MB memory & the Mean Manu was resetting to more easier & faster to Internet.

The difference between n80 and n80ie is that n80 is not fabricated anymore and the n80ie version comes with a 256MB memory card and n80 comes with an 64MB memory card
