I downloaded winrar software and extracted the compressed files.. they are either in .sis,.sisx or in .jar

*.rar is kind of a zip file.that means it is compressed.So u have to use winrar software to extract it.then the *.sis file should be inside.This is what the type recognized by the phone.Connect your phone to PC in PC suit mode n then double click on it to install.kEEP IN MIND that unsigned versions cannot be installed unless they are signed.(actually N80 support only .sisx and java files,they are renamed to .sis because dotsis allows only *.sis,*.rar,*.zip types to be uploaded due to some security issues.since,this kind of software distribution is illegal).I think this wud hlp u.U r always welcome.We SriLankans are willing to help any body who needs help.

Thanks, for the dotsis site.
I had downloaded one program having most of the applications that u have on to the comp. from that site but since it was in .rar extension it was not recognised by my N80.
Do N80 recognise only .sis extensions..

u need a bluetooth gps receiver 2use gps in da n80 in da n95*best fone in da world* gps is inside fone den u need 2 download tomtom r sumfun like dat if u google tomtom can b got free if u smart 2da otha dude wifi can b used at anytime wi sim or wivout u just need 2b in range of a wireles network n by da way guys da n80 is stil da 2nd best fone dat has ever been made

great fone brilliant camera screen wlaan style rocks battery is ok just b smart n dont use to much surfing n battery only 1 fone in da planet can beat n80 n dat is da nokia king n95 n80 is 2nd best fone their is n 2 dat guy who wants 2swap a sony ericson 4 a n80 get ya head out ur ass no1 wud do dat man

All u have to do is to install the nokia pc suite and the nokia software updater which u can download in this site.. http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4226014
Note: every location and regeons has different version of firmware. UK is the has the latest. good luck

I just bought N80 yesterday, if I may ask, may I know how to upgrade my N80 to N80ie? can someone give me links to upgrade...and also i have read that most of N80 users has a lot of application, may I know where to get them? thank a lot and God bless! N80 rulez!

i have a n80 but i do not think it's the best options to chouse this telefon becouse have meny trobble with the soft, i like the pictures she have the design but...

My N80 was also upgraded to N80ie. You know why is it that your N80 only had 21MB?
This is due to the additional application installed in the internal memory when u upgraded it. Get's?
guys if u have other question in N80 just post it. And I'll answer it.

why is it that in the specs in this site the internal memory of N80 is 40MB i bought my fone yesterday and had it firmware upgraded. My phone was even reformatted but the internal memory is only 21MB? Can anyone help me in this?
