how does this phone compare with SE W910? Noticed that this might have WLan function.. As slide phones go, is this one wobbly when slid up? APpreciate any answer

What are you mainly going to use it for? Because E51 and N81 are made for different markets,but The E51 will MOST DEFINETLY have better BUILD quality thats just how Nokia make the Eseries.

Is this phone better then the e51 with build quality and software. I want a good stable phone that will last me for at least 3 years. Im not really interested in the loudspeaker quality because i use headphones mainly and neither is gaming a big factor. Please help!

What ive found is that it may be possible, seeing as how Apple added that feature threw a FW update as well, and how NOKIA removed it, the N81 protos had TV-Out, before release and so i think it could be put in with an update but who knows, this supports DLNA and UPnP so TV-Out is not a must but would be a welcomf addition IMO, i got some answers that N81 is in for a Major update though over at N81Street. :-)

If you want/need Wi-Fi, Symbian Operating System, Ngage gaming, Multitasking, and the ability to generaly increase functionality then get the N81
Otherwise the 5610xm is a nice lil powerful Music phone.

is it actually possible just to add tv out? surely you need some hardware components

Ye the housing materials it has seem to be what NOKIA are going to use in most of their FP-2 phones and even "TUBE", i don't have any complaints about it, only scratch marks mine has are a few on the side when it fell out my sports bag and on to a cement floor.

first of all this mobile casing is a future casing for nokia mobile (check n96 and n78) they all using the same materials like n81. the casing also can be change for 80dollars. the app is the best! camera not so bad if u're not photograper. games and app try download in www.getjar.com www.mobile9.com and for themes is www.zedge.com trust me guys, u'll never regret with this mobile. if you have some problems with this mobile just ask me ok! the battery life can use for 36hours. includ listening to music, watch full 3gpp movie (1:20hour) and sending sms with call. just remember to buy ori battery from nokia. stand by time up to 4-5days. good luck enjoying ur future mobile n81!!! The sound delay bug is present on the N82 and N95-1 as well its only in Ngage. I have some other Symbian and Java games and have absolutely no sound delay but in some Ngage games its there, the Ngage app is still buggy, the N95 and N95-8gb owners get kern errors when trying to launch some Ngage games.
LOL MTN always an excuse when they are out of stock. Cell C and Virgin seem to be the only reliable networks here. My network Vodacom as we all know are the number one network here in SA yet they get phones SO LATE, they only got the W960 this month, got N81 last month and struggling with N95-8gb and some other highly in demand phones.

It has poor camera and buttons.The fuctionality of the navi wheel is laughable and after a few weeks of ownership my n81 has thousands of tiny scratches on the black plastic.This is not one of nokia's better efforts..I heard MTN are no longer stocking them due to the high amount of come backs..

I was allured by Nokia Advertisements -- N81 is only device which allows you to play new N-Gage games comfortably because of 2 special dedicated game buttons! I still have old N-Gage phone and I liked old N-Gage games, so I decided to buy N81 version to play new ones. Phone has lots of shortcomings and bugs, but there is one MAJOR thing which made me totally angry and Im very disapointed -- audio is absolutely offsync with video in all games and application (N-Gage, Symbian, J2ME). Delay is about 0.75 - 1 second, in java games is shorter, in symbian games longer. This means when you shoot, you see can see the bullet, but you can hear the shot sound after 0.75s. This makes games totally uplayable, because sound is one of most importat game component for me. So can you still call N81 a gaming phone?
What do you think? Will Nokia fix this radical bug , is possible to fix it? is it beacuse of HW problems (stereo speakers, audio mixer etc.)? Is it because of MP3 which is still running in background with system app attribute?

this phone is great for texters like me. it has a lot of options too. the mp3 player and the camera is awesome. the only problem is that it's a little wobbly. other than that, the phone is worth the money!! =)

The battery life is AMAZING on the N81 mine laste nearly 2 and a half days on one charge with moderate use. The Camera pic quality is not bad in day light BUT at night its not good at all, the Video Recording is great even at night funny-enough. The N81 is a Music ,Gaming and Video device NOT camera, if you want a great camera get a N82 or go for 6220-Classic or even N78 when they come out. N78 will be cheaper than N81.

I have n81 (8G). I'm pleased from it, but today, suddenly it turned off as its charge was full, I don't know what happends for it? even, it didn't fall down. plz direct me.
