n81 8gb would've been perfect if only it has got 3.2mp camera, hsdpa, gps & tv-out. even a mid class phone like 6220c has hsdpa, 5mp camera & gps despite its small screen. nokia never really makes perfect phones! but my point is, n81 8gb should offer more features for its price. n78 has just been released and in few weeks time its price will drop and people will have no reason to buy n81 8gb anymore..

this fone sux...dont buy nokia fones with large capacity of memory bec the fone cannot handle the memory. many problem occur...like in this fone...when u reached like 2gb of the memory..the fone always restarts and it freezes like every hour.. if i were you...just buy an ipod w/c has also 8gb memory capacity then buy a sony ericson cyber shot...

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970N91 is a nightmare! Don't buy it! E65 is not a multimedia phone. It's a boring phone. The speaker and the headset are both mono not stereo. N81 is the best among your choices. It's the best for music, gaming, internet, telephony and better than N91 and E65 cos it has a camera flash. N91 and E65 don't have flash. The good thing about E65 is it's solid high class construction. But it's a very boring phone. N91 has louder sound via headset but that's about it! Nothing else is good! N81 is fun to use.

- for the camera its pretty good actually in the morning but at night it sometimes gets white light as green or it may be a little foggy... the soloution is to take of the camera cover and increase or decreas the light exposure :D
- the volume is not bad (very good actually) and the quality is fantastic
- picture quality are also wonderful.
- i don't understand what you mean by functions... but its good in its system and rarely gets stuck ( make sure you empty the phone memory.)
- keypad is very very good
- 8gb is good but you cant add any memory card
- battery life is good, but you have to charge it before you use it for 6-8 hours so it can last longer
- sound quality in hands free rocks, excellent
- colors are wonderful
it is a very good mobile, i hope you have luck and get it!

if you install a lot of about 300+ java games it will slow down, you need to put then in separate folders so the phone will not slowdown.

"for everybody's info about asking for the harddrive HARDDISK" there is NO HARDDISK installed in the N81 8GB, it is a flash drive the one is it used on usb flash drive, memory stick what ever you call it.. hope this will clear the issue..

N81 vs. W910i:
Nokia users will declare early that N81 is the winner here. But wait! W910i is no ordinary Walkman phone.
Design: Both look cool depending on your taste. N81 is more formal. W910i is more decent. W910i is a lot thinner and lighter than N81, very pocket friendly.
Build: W910i has better build quality. N81 is plastic all over.
Screen: N81 has better, brighter screen with 16M colors. W910i has the same 2.4" screen but brightness is only average.
Battery: N81 has an outstanding battery life. I thought nothing can do better. But surprisingly, W910i has better battery life. A single charge takes up to more than 16 hours of nonstop music playback.
Camera: Nothing to shout about. Both are just 2MP, but W910i takes better pictures without the green tint found on the images captured by N81 camera. N81's advantage is that it has a LED flash. Both phones record QVGA videos at 15fps.
User Interface: N81 UI has clear advantage because it's powered by Symbian OS, whereas, W910i UI is a SE non-smartphone UI. The thing is the S60 is very basic and is getting boring as you've been used to it, though very user-friendly. W910i UI is just so cool and very advanced. The icons are animated and the themes are even more eye catching.
Gallery: N81 has the popular rotating gallery of the Nseries, but the W910i has even better gallery or photo viewer. It's more fun to use and browse.
Music player: Nokia music player is very functional. Every basic functions are there plus some extras like visualizations, podcasting, etc. But I can't help it. I'm loving the Walkman 3.0 player. The user interface is advanced. It's a new level of browsing and playing your songs. Both phones can play MP3, AAC, M4A, WMA, WAV, MIDI. N81 has FM Radio that doubles as Visual radio. W910i FM radio has RDS function.
Music features: N81 has dedicated music keys, lock key, Naviwheel, 3.5 mm jack and stereo speakers - everything that a high end music phone should have. Thumbsup! Although W910i lacks 3.5mm jack, stereo speakers, etc., the accelerometer based, SHAKE control feature compensates for it. I said it's a new level of browsing, and playing your songs with W910i.
Audio quality: N81 has better audio quality but W910i is not too left behind. Of all Walkman phones, W910i has the best audio quality and only in this phone that MegaBass is fully justified. In fact, W910i has more powerful bass than N81.
Gaming: Both phones are great gaming phones. Both can play games in landscape mode. Both have gaming buttons. N81 has the NGAGE platform. W910i has the new JAVA 3D games platform with high quality graphics, not the old JAVA games we used to see. One more thing is that you can play games without using the buttons, just using the Shake control function of the phone. Sounds weird?
Web browsing: N81 web browser is based on Safari web browser which is better than W910i Netfront browser. Both can handle full HTML pages.
Connectivity: N81 and W910i are both quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE phones with 3G support for video calling and high speed downloads. N81's advantage is that it has wifi, but no HSDPA. W910i has HSDPA but no wifi. I'd prefer HSDPA over wifi because in my country browsing websites and downloading is absolutely free in my network operator Globe Telecom and I'd like to try that HSDPA! Both phones have Bluetooth with A2DP.
Conclusion: N81 is a feature packed all in one device. W910i is an excellent music phone that brings user experience to the next level! I have a Nokia N81 8GB right now but I've got to try a W910i at Smart business center and I must admit. I'm very impressed with this phone.

guys i want to buy a new phone my priorities are good storage memory, good music games and of course camera, in short i need the complete package.....
n81 8 gb seems to satisfy all but its camera is its shortcoming............
suggest me for which phone should i go....
i heard tht night mode of n81 is very bad and captures poor images in low light.
i can go till 18,000.

divx and xvid are not free right? any freeware out there to convert videos for my mobilephone? nokia video manager produces very bad results..bad audio, bad video

Yes. N81 supports MPEG4 video playback because it records video in MPEG4 format as well.
Yes. N81 can also play Divx, Xvid videos using the softwares Smartmovie and Divxplayer. Google them and you're way to go!

I really need to know if n81 8GB supports mpeg4 (Divx,xvid...etc) playback or not? i'm thinking of buying it but it would be agreat disadvantage ... by the way,the "arabic" post is parsian (IRAN's language)..
