does n81 8gb supports rar files???i downloaded games for n81 but some of them are rar files and its not supported by my phone..maybe theres a way to support these files..pls help if you know how...thanks

i love this phone..great music games and browsing...but i wonder why it becomes slower and slower..it hangs up and i cant turn it off unless i remove the battery..and when i turn it on the symbian key malfunctions temporarily or too late to respond..it will took several minutes for the symbian key to function smoothly..if you encounter these problems pls tell what to do..

@N81 Users
Can anyone please answer my following two queries?
1) Does it support 8 (eight) GB memory card. Tell who are really using such size of memory.
2) Whether the battery made in Finland. If it is China, please mention.

Although its a great phone but have a few drawbacks. Awkward flat keypad, joystick and key buttons are stiff enough to make you feel frustrated and return the phone in the same day you bought. Also the camera lens should be replaced with the famous Carl Zeiss Optics along with the Xenon Flash instead of the regular flash. Hope Nokia gonna look forward upgrading this phone and make a new successful forerunner with flawless constructions and modifications. I personally wanted to buy it yesterday but because of the mentioned above it changed my mind so i didn't buy it. Hope the Nokia N96 features aren't the same as the Nokia N81 8GB. So i'm gonna wait for the Nokia N96.

If only this phone has a 3mp or higher cam with autofocus, i'll buy it. . .
Now i alreadry bought 6500 slide instead, because it has 3.3mp w/ carl zeiss optics. . .
but this phone is great and rather be bought if you don't need itd camera. . .

hi everyone.can anyone tell me where is the best site for downloading n81 8gb games??i tried mobileheart.com. the games works fine on my phone but it didn't fit my screen..and some games with ( rar )files cannot be supported..

I had N91 & just changed to N81-GB. I loved the N91 mainly for its music function i.e. large storage, dedicated music keys, 3.5mm hp jack and excellent, powerful sound. Got the N81 for free with contract & trading in my N91. I was thinking this could be my "temproary" phone until the SE xperia, HTC Diamomd or N96 comes out. But I was pleasantly surprise. The N81 is a great phone. It has all the great music function of N91 and what the N91 did not score too well - long battery life, lovely large high resolution screen, even larger storage and Bluetooth ver 2 (for wireless stereo music streaming). The N81 also has an improved, faster interface, maps function and has a high-end feel especially considering the very affordable price.

dont listen to these guys who give a bad opiion to N81-8GB....i got one and i also update the firmware its working fine....and the battery is long life too....remember to N81 buyers just Always upgrade your firmware....Viva N81

my phone starts to hang up especially when i open the music player..it started when i downloaded the firmware v 11...im not sure if thats the real cause but if theres someone out there who knows to fix this.. please help

What are you talking about? N91 is still MORE expensive than N81, even though it's too outdated.
And have you forgotten that N81 is one of the 3 all-in-one Nseries devices?
BTW comparing a CAMERA phone to a MUSIC phone is absolutely ridiculous. LOL!
N81 blows away N82 in the music department, just like N82 would in the camera department.

The N91 users just cant accept that N81 is the better and more improved device, the N91 is now outdated, it was a great device when it 1st arrived.

Guys, I think It wouldnt be a good decision to choose an n91 over an n81. Reasons...
1. Nokia n81 has a better battery life than the n81.
2. Nokia n81 is more pocket friendly. It is also much lighter than the n91.
3. Nokia n81 comes with a better software (+ n-gage) which is less bug ridden.
4. Nokia n81 actually does have a better build quality than the n91.
About the music....according to laboratory tests, the n91 has a slightly higher score, but according to me both phones are so loud that i cant actually hear the difference.
Overall, the n81 is a better choice because it comes with major improvements and is a better overall device.
And by the way, im not sure if its the same as other countries, but n81 (original, not 8gb) is still cheaper than n91. Shock.
