The phone is the best, easy to use yet sooo many applications...and the camera, well. Only problem so far is that i can't use 3G on US T Mobile, don't know if i can fix this with my carrier but of course it is not a phone issue.

The only problem in this phone is lack of design and covers. For a teenager I better switch to n79 than this phone because n82 is a classy phone unlike n79 and n79 has more battery power than n82.

I got a 2 Gb card. I wish to know if anybody is using a 4 Gb card, does the phone slow down if I only use it to record videos and photos ?

No question of buying a new one... its production is ceased by Nokia to promote other models.
By far it has been the best Nokia phone ever, everythings' just superb in N82

In a matter of fact, most of us (I believe) are using Windows as their PC OS, so they will get to use to the Mobile one. WinMo is the best one if we often use Microsoft word/excel/powerpoint daily. WinMo is compatible properly with PC Windows.
Symbian is only the best for mobile phones and its applications, such as games.

Need to know if the phone is still available in Indian and Dubai markets..
shops here say it has been discontinued..
also, the design of the phone seems very ..err..questionable
are the keys difficult to use for heavy texters?
apart from taht..does the phone have any major/real isadvantages and drawbacks?

if you really like to move to touchscreen, 5800 can offer you the crave since its got the whole attention of symbian and 3rd part developers at the moment with themes, softwares, games being developed everyday to suite up s60v5.
windows mobile is the worsiest UI i've used, remember the smart amazing phone (HTC Tanager), i have one before and it bored me in just a months time due to sparse personalization and softwares specially games c",

i have problem with my n82, i use a nokia 4GB microSDHC class 2 memory card, my music library always get corrupted, and the gallery items always gone to nothing. i already reformat it many times but the same problem occurs.

updating your firmware doesn't erase your installed files so its okay if you'll install it now or after the firmware upgrade.
