I have my nokia N95 8GB but after reading all the comments about Nokia N82, I regret it alot having this black bulky slidy phone.
I'm expecting that sooner or later. I'll have this one as well.
    I love this phone. REALLY!
For me, this one should be Nokia's FLAGSHIP.
    NOT THAT NOKIA N96.
IT'S NOT WORTH EVERY SINGLE BUCKS WE'LL BE SPENDING, IF INCASE YOUR GOINT TO GET ONE.

To all people who complain about the features, performance of this multimedia monster the N82.

Regarding the camera I have taken many pictures and compared it with dedicated digicams like my 5mp Sony and 7mp Canon (Powershot TX1). To my astonishment, some photos taken with the N82 are better than these digicams. In fact the videos taken with N82 easily outdo the videos taken by my Sony digicam (DSC-W5). Only area where the N82 gets beaten is the focussing speed and shot to shot speed.

The music quality is great and I have observed the bass factor to be much lower than Sony Ericsson phones.

Wifi is absolutely wonderful and gets easily connected to wifi hotspots whereever it is available. I have tried this in many hotels and browsing through wifi is a breeze.

GPS connectivity is fast and reliable. I use google maps for navigation and it is much faster as Nokia maps is not having much coverage in my country except for major cities.

This phone is fully loaded with features like 5 mp cam with Xenon flash, vga video @30fps, TV out, WIFI, GPS, etc.. and it has all the features that the expensive and high end N-series phone have. Everyday I am installing new software and never I have found this phone hanging or getting slowed down.

Some of the software that I have installed are Fring, Google maps, Cclock, Large time, Ccam, Time bar, Light control, Nokia sports tracker, Nokia step counter, Opera mini, Calcium, Mr Lock, Dictionary, Mirage money, Marble maze, Accelerinvaders, Joikuspot, Log export, Energy profiler, Phone locator and dozens of themes.

Believe me, this phone is an outstanding device and don't get deceived by some people who are repeatedly bashing this phone in this forum. It is only 3 months I am having this phone and been visiting this forum daily since this phone was launched. Everyday I am having fun with this phone and I am extremely delighted to have this phone instead of N95 8Gb or N85 or N96 or Samsung Omnia or Iphone because this is less expensive but provides better features in a easy to use form factor and rugged body.

For me the brightness level is sufficient and I keep the light sensor at 50%. If you want more brightness, install lightcontrol with which you can increase the brightness of N82 without hacking the phone.

n82 has the same processor that of n95 8gb so they have the same speed and they have almost the same softwares on board. they only differ in style, form factor, memory capability and flash.

i bought this phone last month, its nice but some features of it are at its basic level, it would be nice if nokia take this seriously and make it up to the mark.
picture quality is nice but the music output is very less compared to its basic phones
i hink the rating is more compared its features

i consider my n82 a multimedia device rather than just a phone because im using it more in that purpose rather than text or call. more likely surfing the net and chat(i dont spend prepaid load thru this) using wifi , watching divx or listening 2 my fav tracks, playing games etc.. i was lucky 2 have wifi routers at work and at the house so i never run out of internet conection

N82 is an all rounder marvel!

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2008oo nga, cguro ung ibang cheap owners dyan na feeling mayama... morei disagree with that. it doesn't make a person miserable if he happens to own a high end phone but he has no prepaid credits most of the time. because in the first place, those people who buy high end phones concern more about multimedia functions over telephony. telephone, which involves calls and text messaging, that needs prepaid credits is just one function of a high end phone. most people use a high end phone for camera, video camcorder, web browsing, gaming, gps navigation, music player and other functions more than just telephony. what is more miserable is if you want a high end phone so badly but you cannot afford one. because a high end phone costs so much more than just prepaid credits.
