            Brynn i have got the Black 8gb N95 now an its alot better than the N95-1,the next one i will keep a close eye on is the Black N82 it looks alot better than the silver or white one,so glad i didn"t sign up early for the N82,but Nokia now have learnt from the wrong doing an releasing more models at last in Black as they used to used the recondition material to release them in silvr but i am really happy Black is getting used by Nokia at last,i wish the N96 would have been released more earlier than August as its along wait,but waiting for the N96 might be wrong as the new batch of Nokia mobiles will be released in the 4th Quarter of this year,so i will keep a close eye on whats on the way or get the Black N82 instead on a upgrade

                    @hajimebando

                    Notice how it is RM-313. On the FCC we have something called RM-314, hat tip to Howard Forums. With a little bit of investigation it became clearly obvious via Forum Nokia that their would be a second Nokia N82:

                    The Nokia N82 is a GSM/WCDMA dual mode portable multimedia computer supporting EGSM 850/900/1800/1900/WCDMA 2100 HSDPA and WLAN or EGSM 850/900/1800/1900 for some regions.

                    Judging by the label listed on the FCC, this might be something for the Asian market, but it may as well come to the states as a cheaper, castrated N82.

                    Your right tho this is the chinese n82. but its not a fake. its real. it doesnt have wifi because...

                    (The version of the N82 sold in Mainland China does not have a Wi-Fi antenna. It seems this is due to some Chinese regulation, probably to let the government mobile phone companies earn more wireless internet profits. Nokia Care in Kunming informed me that installing a different country's version of the operating system would not help, suggesting that the Chinese N82 is a different piece of hardware. It also seems that the Chinese version (labeled RM-314 on the sticker behind the battery) does not have 3G.)

                    So anyway i have a n82 working fine but no wifi. which sucks. because thats one of the features i wanted :(

                    ps. tomtom or garmin gps software works 100% with inbuilt gps tried them both in :D thats one up!

                      N82 without WiFi is really not N82, its a China phone that looks like the actual model, sad to say but you were scammed. I really hate those China phones. So if youre going to purchase a phone make sure its genuine. Dont be fooled by the price of the copy cat phones because i guarantee that you wont get the best of it.

                        Hi again,

                        just let ppl know there is a n82 without wifi ive done some googeling and it appears theres another n82 which i have... that doesn't have the wifi. I do have a real n82 when plugged into Nokia suite it detects it as an N82 and when i punch in *#0000# it comes up with version number (nokia n82) (72.02) RM-314.

                        The 314 part is what tells you if its the wifi edition or not. The one with wifi has the RM-313. Im about to try to reflash it wit the australia firmware and see how that all goes, ill keep people updated.

                          Andy burgin, its me brynn, i had n95-1 then sold it got an n958gb which i still have..I remember you were souping up the n95-1 to look like the n95 8gb..

                          I want to say that this is just like 8gb n95 but smaller screen which i like because it feels like my old n73 but specs to die for..The screen is a bit less brighter but seems better as its more colour depth and less pixelly & one reason why my n958gb is just sat there at moment with s/e p990i,,i find n95 to big and texting a lot cuts into my palm when texting one handed..I like the way you just pop in earfones at top of n82 and it could just be normal mp3 player.

                          I cannot see point of n78 and n96 will not come to uk if its dvb-h,, them fones never do as uk is not due for that tech till 2012..I am keeping eye on experia but after p990i i give up on uiq system lets see if s/e can do windows better..So this is it at the moment with T.I.P.A. award wins and no other fone with this spec and this small the n82 is it..

                            so N82 is Louder and better in Earphones

                            and N73ME is Louder in the Loudspeakers...

                            ??

                            Confusing:S:S

                            cant they just make a Phone with both Loud.......

                              I can't tell which one has deeper sound coz i don't have N95 to test with. But if you want to test it yourself just make sure that both phones have the latest firmware version, and test it using headphones and not thru their loudspeakers. N82 vs N73ME, N82 excel in audio department using headphones, i test it myself.

                                N82 is excellent overall but N91 is best in music department.

                                  N82 recognizes .sis theme files. Just make sure that it's compatible with phones that has S60 3rd Ed OS.

                                  @antonio
                                  They just differ in color. Specs are the same. Also black edition has the latest firmware version which is V20.0.062.

                                  @ganze
                                  Here's how rar files works:
                                  1. If your pc has bluetooth, send the file to your phone, received files are found in inbox, now open it and file will install to your phone.
                                  2. Connect your phone to your pc then select data transfer mode. Place the rar file at any location you want at your microSD card. Disconnect the phone to your pc. Using file manager at your phone locate the file then open it.
                                  3. Using memory card reader. Same procedure with no. 2.

                                  Good Luck!

                                        If you can't hear this phone ringing in your pocket try visiting an otolaryngologist because you are probably deaf. It's more than enough loud.
