OVI maps --> is such a ram eater T_____T
you can use garmin(for navigation / maps) , or google maps (world map)

if some can help...when i go to maps,i connect normally to the net but i dont connect to the navigation system.why dont it work?

[deleted post]as i said b4,i dont think im paying when packet data is on and nothing is happening in web cause in data details,the KB are stable,only the timer is working.but u never know.i did try it,again as i mentioned b4,to keep it on for a long time and my credit didnt fall.but whatever the case,the battery is surely being waisted. [deleted post]The antivirus is Mobile Security Lite.it seems to be doing its job. i simply had the ``Firewall`` and ``web reputation`` too high. now that i lowerd it,its ok.but it didnt change any of my settings.
ok for Packet Data... i do have it on `WHEN NEEDED`,but it still stays on when im not using it.does urs turn off? i dont think im paying when im out of the net even if its on cause i went into the details of the packet data and no numbers of KB where moving.only the time is ticking away.i left it on,on purpose and the credit of my card,did not go down.but anyway,im gonner have to be turning it off it seems like every time. to be honest,it should turn off automatically just like other fones.

1)in the end i found out why my connection had problems.it was the new antivirus stopping everything from coming in.
2)the problem with the WIFI sighn staying on,continues.now ive got the problem with the packet Data sighn staying on even when im out of the net,so therefore i have to go in connection manager and disconnect everytime.does urs do the same? do u know if there is a way for these things to turn off automatically when ur out of the net? thanks.

n82 has a built-in WEB net.. im from phillipines
we have a sim ., smart and globe that can access web net., .,.,., they give connection settings .,., and we just apply them on our phone . uses as a default.,.,,.,.
well as other country., ,., you can have your settings .if you ask them to .,
asi have notice.,
web connection settins / wap connection appears in a TEXT MESSAGes .,. .,
try to explore your sim card ., see if it they have feautures that can give the settings to your phone.,.,

Settings>Phone>Network>Ne... moreThx again tenma. 1)i put it on gsm and now i dont have that 3g there all the time.i dont know if ill need it in the future but till then,it can remain on GSM instead.
2)ill try that with the WLAN later and ill let u know if it worked.
3)by the way,ive been trying all day to connect to the net by using the internet service.with WIFI i have no problem to connect.i foned the company so many times but nobody knows how to help.they simply sent me some message on my fone to download it but it didnt work.i ended up talkin to them 3 times in vein. to connect to the net,is there anything specific i have to put in the settings? or if u can,please tell me how u have the settings in ur N82 so that u can connect to the net.i mean the service when u PAY,when u DONT have any WIFI next to u.thanks again.

Settings>Phone>Network>NetWork Mode > [change to GSM]
ow???yah that happens to me .,., the wireless connection is still there
try this
Setting>Connection>WirelessLan>Show Wlan Availablity> NEVER
try this it may help you

1)any idea how to turn off 3g?
2)when im connected to wifi and then i exit the internet,that wifi sighn stays there even if im dissconected.im sure thats another battery waister.i have to restart the fone to get get rid of that sighn.
