i have to admit my nokia n82 camera image quality set at 5mp with hard sharpness is VERY COMPARABLE with my Nikon D70 set at 6mp and fine sharpness. The images produced by my D70 may be just a little more natural than the nokia n82 but overall both cameras are near equal to my eyes. on top of this i paid the nikon d70 at about $1200; go figure. if you want a camera phone that performs as a camera equal to, say cannon $300 camera, nokia N82 IS YOUR CHOICE!!

i really can't help but LMAO whenever i get to hear creeps who whine so much about the looks- n82 coulda been perfect... if only this, if only that...c'mon!
given all the nasty things my n82 could do in so excellent ways, except of course bore a huge hole into the center of the earth to prove once and for all its made of parmesan cheese...i'd say n82 scraps all the competition...regardless of looks...regardless of style...regardless of what some raisin-heads are wishin to death for it to get better looks...
leave the n82 for those who can live by its capabilities alone...
otherwise to ya all...go get something else...like a ricky martin poster or enrique iglesias CD cover, and wish you'd look like 'em, if only your camphone shot better pics,and has double-sized xenon flash, and has wifi, and has GPS,a 3.5mm AV jack,16m colors display,stable and speedfreak OS,dual stereo speakers,300++mhz processor,independent video rendering chip,true and reliable 5mp cam,office viewer/editor,advanced java apps, gazillion of free java apps,front cam capable of shooting pix and video,...etc..etc...

One of the most excellent Nokias products,of course better than n95 by its additional memory (ram)and user memory and xenon flash very fast supports touch screen able to operate windows system as an update

WTF happened nokia this colour choice really sucks, if its not coming in black then what about white? . Anything but this. Its got everything you would need except a the look.

Lot of People askin if N95(orginal/8Gb)is better than N82.
My Answer is N82 as a matter of Prefrence.
Cuz N95 has Dual slider due to which i cannot put the phone in my tight Jean Pocket otherwise i have to use the casing for this handset which does not look that stylish to be very honest....after all its a matter of prefrence and comfort.

I will wait for n96 n98 n82sucessors and other releases from samsung , lg and sony ericsson. But i really love nokia. I own n73 n5700xp and k800i. I love them all. But sony should work on their joysticks and nokia should provide videolight for their robust camcorder phones.

I love this phone but i MIGHT not buy it because it lacks led or halogen videolight , optical zoom and tv reciver (n77,n98).

30 fps vga video with no videolight is bad. We need videolight. Please nokia give that to us on your next nseries release.

This phone is almost perfect. I NEED all its features plus videolight , optical zoom, hsdpa 850mhz and tv broadcasting.

i have this and an n95, both good phones, id probably rather the n95 thow, it feels more solid. Main difference is that the media keys on the n95 are handy. I like nokia, samsung and sony ericsson, all good phones. By the way if anybody is wondering, i put a 6GB highspeed microSD card in this, (from my n95) and t seems to be fully compatible.
